“What?! It’s gross.” He replied, finishing his first piece and starting on his second.
“What?! It’s gross.” He replied, finishing his first piece and starting on his second.
"It is not," Kasey argued, shaking her head in feigned disappointment. "You're just uncultured."
"Uncultured? No, I just had good taste in food." Liam countered, finishing his food.
Kasey raised an eyebrow. "Are you saying I have bad taste?" she questioned teasingly.
"No, that's not what I'm saying. If you had bad taste I wouldn't be here, would I?" He teased, smirking at her.
Kasey blushed but smiled nonetheless. "This is true," she agreed, nodding. "See? I've got pretty good taste."
“Only about certain things. Food, not one of them.” He replied, taking another piece of pizza.
Kasey scoffed as she took a second slice of pizza. "Rude," she muttered jokingly.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Liam replied, “I just don’t like pineapple on pizza, end of story.”
"I was teasing you," Kasey giggled, shaking her head. "That's fine. At least it's only on half, right?"
“Yeah… I guess so.” Liam muttered as he finished eating.
Kasey sighed and leaned back into the couch. "C'mon, let's finish our movie."
Harper had passed out in his chair after only ten minutes into the movie. As it turned out, taking care of his sister was a lot more tiring than he thought.
“Looks like Harper is enjoying himself.” Liam said with a slight chuckle.
"Yeah," Kasey laughed lightly as she looked over at him. "Poor thing. He's so overworked."
“Maybe He should take a break from work if it’s so tiring for him.” Liam suggested.
"I wish he would," Kasey sighed, closing her eyes for a moment. When she opened them, she turned to Liam and gave him a small smile. "He won't, though. He loves his job."
“Ah, the love for ones job can be stronger then any between people.” He said with a small smile.
"Yeah. And sometimes it gets in the way of family… But he does well in balancing it all out," Kasey said as she turned back tithe movie.
“That’s good to hear.” Liam said quietly before watching the movie again.
(Skip. Again…)
Kasey smiled as the credits started rolling, and she turned to Liam. "Do you want any snacks before I put the next one in?" she asked.
“Hm?” Liam’s eyes shot open as he was in the middle of falling asleep, “I don’t mind, whatever you want to do.”
"Aw… Were you sleeping?" Kasey laughed quietly. "Are you sure you're up for a movie marathon?"
“Of course I am, why wouldn’t I be?” He said, smiling and trying to stifle a yawn.
Kasey giggled. "You look like you're about to fall asleep!" she exclaimed.
“I do not.” Liam protested, giving her a small frown.
"You totally do," Kasey argued, pulling her phone out. "Do you want me to prove it?"
“No, no. You don’t have to prove it.” He said, smiling a little and lowering her phone.
Kasey pouted playfully. "Aw. But what if we take a picture together?" she suggested, giving him puppy dog eyes.
“What would the picture be for exactly?” Liam asked, resting his head on her shoulder as he looked at her.
Kasey used her free shoulder to shrug. "Just for fun? Memories? I don't know. Why not?"
