Skylar was shackled to the wall in a dark basement. It smelled musty, and the air was damp. She struggled to get out, when a dark voice came from the corner. "Welcome, Sky. So nice of you to come." A Man came out from the shadows, and approached her cautiously. Skylar tried to teleport out of the basement, but none of her powers would work. The man's suit had a badge neatly pinned to it. It was a red R.A.C badge. Not until the officer was five feet away from her did she see some familiar features in the man's face. Instantly she knew who it was. The only difference was the short cropped hair that all of the R.A.C officers had. It was obviously Jacob. "YOU." She croaked, still struggling. "Surprised?" he asked, mocking a smile. "Oh yeah. You still hate me for 'killing' Jean, don't you? Well, today is your lucky day. I'm going to bring you to her. She of course, is still alive." Skylar's heart flew to her chest and she was speachless. "No. I watched him kill her. It isn't possible." She growled threateningly. "Well she is. I was going to unshackle you and bring you to her, but if you're going to be stubborn, you can stay here.." He trailed off, turning away slightly. "No." Skylar said, knowing that this was his plan all along. 'Please." She said, gesturing to her arms and feet. He smiled, and pulled out a key from his belt loop. He quickly let her arms and legs go, but kept a firm grasp on her as they marched down a narrow hallway. The basement was a maze, designed so no one could find their way through it unless you worked there. They turned down a number of smaller hallways until they found a dead end, with a door on the right of them. "We're here. Are you ready?" She nodded reluctantly, and marched through the doorway. She was blinded by a bright light, and noticed that this room was taller than the hallways had been. Something hit her with a force, and she was knocked down, but she automatically laughed. This feeling was familiar, and she knew automatically who was hugging her. It was Jean. "Je…Jean?" She asked quietly, "Ho…How?" She asked. Jean got up. "I don't really know. I just know that one minute I was getting hit with a pole, I blacked out, and I woke up here! Jacob saved me apparently." She giggled, glancing up at Jacob. "..No… I was at your funeral! I watched them bury you!" She pushed, still confused. "I brought her back." Jacob breathed in her ear. Skylar stepped away, still confused. "You mean… She died but you revived her? How.. But why did you keep this from me?" Skylar asked. They didn't answer, but Jean played with bracelet on her wrist. Skylar looked down at it, and noticed that it had a pendant on it, identical to the badges the R.A.C wore. "You… You work for the R.A.C now? But they're the ones who killed you! They're the one's who…" Skylar started to feel the heavy damp air lifting, and she could faintly hear beeping noises. Jacob and Jean looked at each other. "You're waking up." Jean said, holding onto Sky's hand. "What?" She asked, starting to feel dizzy. "You're dreaming right now. Just remember, this was all real. I really AM alive. Please, Sky. Come find me.. We can work together. I miss you. Please, Sky…" Jean was fading away into white mist, but Skylar could still feel her presence.
Skylar woke with a start. She was laying on a bed, connected to wires in a bright room that smelled like hand sanitizer. She layed there for a few minutes until she realized there was another person in the room. She saw a nurse fiddling with her tubes and wires. "Wher..e Am I?" she asked, trying to sit up, but she felt sharp pains in her side and she lay back down. The nurse jumped at the sudden noise, and replied, "The hospital, sweetie. You broke your ribs and you have a mild concussion. I'll go get the doctor." She smiled, and started walking briskly out the door. "Wait…" Skylar said. "Where is Peter?" she asked. "I don't know. I am sure he is safe." she said. "Where… Is…. Peter??" Skylar said more forcefully. "I already told you, sweetheart, I don't know. Now, I'll go get the doctor. You and him could talk." "I SAID WHERE IS PETER? WHERE THE HELL IS HE?? YOU BETTER TELL ME RIGHT NOW, OR I WILL SNAP YOUR NECK!" she screamed, ripping off wires even though the pain was ripping at her and she felt like she was going to puke. The nurse paged the doctor, and he was in the room in less than 2 minutes with a syringe. Skylar was out of control, scratching the doctor and fighting off anybody that tried to hold her down. Finally, though, the doctor stabbed the syringe in her arm, and she instantly fell asleep, all struggling had stopped.
