Ty was glad he made Serra wear a jacket, the young girl got cold easily. Him on the other hand he could walk around in shorts and Tshirt and be fine. "Are you cold?" He looked over to Kate, because he had a jacket on that he didn't really need.
"No, I'm fine." It wasn't that she wanted to lie to him, it had just become a habit by now. She had found it was much safer to just lie in these cases. She would be safe inside the aquarium. Once they got there of course.
"If you get cold just tell me. I don't get cold easily, so honestly I don't need my jacket." Everything turned to a tint of blue when they entered the aquarium. Ty always loved the aquarium, because it felt like a different world.
The aquarium was room temperature, which was warmer than outside. Kate walked up to the first tank she saw. It had several fish in it, all spectacular, but one caught her eye. It was a shimmering blue fish. Every move made the light reflect of them. It reminded her of Ty' eyes. Somewhat piercing and yet so beautiful.
The blue light made Ty's and Serra's eye look like the were glowing. "I could totally see you as a mermaid." Ty laughed then kissed Kate's cheek. "I want to see the sharks." This was the first time today that Ty said he wanted something, of course he would let the girls see what they want first. "I want to see the sea horses." Serra again lifted her arms and Ty gave in putting her on his shoulders.
"They have sharks too?" She was still mesmerized by the fish. She leaned in closer to get another look. She watched it's scales move and reflect the light.
"Yeah, but we'll look at what you girls want first." Ty could wait for the sharks, this was a day for the girls. "So sea horses then we can move on to what Kate wants to see." Once again Ty grabbed Kate's hand Who knew what kind of people were here, he just wanted to make sure they were both safe.
"I'm fine with seeing anything." Kate held tight toTy's hand. She looked around at the tanks. There were some people hanging out in corners and she wasn't entirely sure what they were doing, just standing there and staring. She walked close to them on their way to the sea horses.
Ty pulled Kate to his other side further away from the shady people in the corner. Taking Serra off his shoulders he made her hold Kate's hand, so she was the furthest away from them. "Here we are, the sea horses." Serra ran up to them and took out her camera, while Ty made sure to stick close to both girls.
Kate was so absorbed with the sea horses, all the colors and sizes. It amazed her that something so spectacular could exist. "They're so small." They swam around as if they were drifting. She was so absorbed she couldn't hear the nearing footsteps.
"Yeah they are huh?" Ty was starting to get anxious and paranoid. With what happened to Serra and the man he doesn't like to name, he felt very protective. "C-Can you guys just stay close to me okay?" If something happened to them he wouldn't be scared to start a fight if he had to even if he didn't want that.
"Huh?" She looked over to him. "Yeah, is everything okay?" They weren't that close before. They had moved forward a bit. They seemed… Dark. She moved a little closer to him pulling Serra closer. She was careful not to be obvious.
Ty casually pushed them in front of him. He noticed some men watching them, and surprisingly some women as well. Who knows what they were doing, and who knows what they were planning to do. Ty's heart raced at the thought of something happening. Occasionally he took glances to the side watching the people.
Kate brought Serra as close as she could. She watched from glances as they made their way to two tanks away pretending to look at fish. She whispered so only they could hear. "The fish aren't as interesting as I'd hoped." She could tell something was coming. They needed to get out of there.
The sharks are going to have to wait. Ty quickly lifted Serra into his arms and grabbed Kate's hand and casually started to head for the exit. "Don't turn around."
Returning from the spin Vash pecked Blue on the cheek, "deals a deal. You paid for the first, and I'd pay for the next." This time she did step on his foot, "sorry!" She said jumping back a little. "Maybe your feet won't survive aafter all." she joked.
Blue rolled his eyes, “You barely weigh a thing, I didn’t hardly feel it,” Blue laughed softly. The music began to slow, and Blue started to sway slowly with Vash in his arms. So… perfect. Just like the bond between them.
"Ok." (Danger time!) They were almost to the door when a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. "Where are you going there?" The hand was one of a middle aged man with a grip too tight for her to put away. She tried her hardest to, but she couldn't. No no no. She couldn't let this happen, not again. Her heart was racing making her chest ached as she tried to think through everything.
Ty immediately turned around and grabbed the guys arm. "I kindly ask you to let go of my girlfriends arm." He didn't want to cause a scene, so he'll ask nicely at first. A smirk tugged on the guys lip. Ty snapped, he was about to punch the guy when Serra was pulled back. Come on! it was a bit difficult for him to get both of them at the same time, thank goodness Serra was still in his arms. He turned to see a women with a tight grip around Serra's arm. Ty did the only thing he could think of and bit the guys arm, since it was closer. The guy jumped back and blood was dripping from it. "Kate take the keys." He shoved them in her hands and ripped the womans hand from Serra. "Take Serra and go to the car."
Kate followed commands, not wanting to leave Ty but wanting to get Serra to safety. She took Serra from his arms keys in her hand and shot out through the doors. She weaved her way through the small crowd to the exit. They got to the car and unlocked it. She quickly put Serra in the back and got in the front, locking the doors and searching for any sign of Ty. Thank goodness Serra's okay. She looked to the back, still a little out of breath. She seemed fine.
Blue rolled his eyes, “You barely weigh a thing, I didn’t hardly feel it,” Blue laughed softly. The music began to slow, and Blue started to sway slowly with Vash in his arms. So… perfect. Just like the bond between them.
"Ha!" Vash laughed slightly as the music slowed, "you know. Dancing isn't as bad as people make it out to be" the swaying made it easier to stay away from stepping on Blue. "I take it you've danced before?"
“Maybe…” Blue said with a mischievous smile. He had danced before, by himself, just for a fantasy of ever being able to dance with someone, but he wasn’t perfect with it. But being with Vash made it so special. He opened his mouth to comment, but a gravelly voice shouted, “Boy, get over here!” Blue didn’t want to look, didn’t want to turn, but he forced himself to break away and face his father charging up to him.
Serra was in complete shock and as soon as she snapped out of it tears ran down her face and she began to sob and call out for Ty. Meanwhile Ty was inside talking to security, with a bunch of people who witnessed what had happened. "Thank you for calling us, you did good." The security man patted Ty's shoulder. He began to walk back to the car.
Kate quickly climed into the back with Serra and pulled her into a gently embrace. "Hey, hey, hey." She let her voice smooth out. She could still feel her throat and it's tightness. "Shhh. It's okay. You're safe now." She was turned the other way, so she was unaware that Ty was headed there. "It's okay. Ty's gonna be here any minute now."
Ty walked up to the truck and in the back seat was Kate holding a crying Serra. He lightly tapped on the window trying not to scare them. A gentle smile was on his face. All he wanted was to hold the both of them in his arms.
Kate looked over and saw him, all tension released from her chest. She unlocked the doors and opened the door, still holding onto Serra with one arm. "Hey."
He moved into the seat next to them and just pulled them close with no words. Though he may have seemed calm back there, he was ready to go on a rampage. Serra turned to Ty and hugged him. Shifting around he made it so he was in the middle and could hold them both.
(Oooh snap!)
Vash jumped at the sound of someone calling Blue angrily, crap crap crap. she thought. She turned to look at who it was. From the voice it sounded like blues father, but she'd never really seem his face before. Making her slightly unsure. "Should we run?" She whispered to Blue not wanting to see what might go down.
Kate leaned into him and held him, closing her eyes. Now that Ty was here and calming Serra, her thoughts were racing with nothing other to focus on. "You're really beautiful, Kate." Her chest tightened and she forced herself to breathe. Where are the stars? She looked out the window. It was still day. She squeezed her eyes shut. Where are the stars?! She snapped back at herself. You're safe calm down! She forced herself to breathe.
"Did they want to hurt me like dad?" Ty bit his lip trying hard not cry along with her. Kate doesn't know that we are half siblings yet, I kept forgetting about it. "No, I would never let that happen!" Ty looked over at Kate and pulled her closer and kissed the top of her head.
