Luna wagged her tail and came over to Mrs. Heath, allowing the woman to pet her. Robin watched quietly, glad that not everyone was afraid of wolves.

Zoey nodded. "Yeah, I've spent about half of my life in the hospital. I'm going to be a doctor when I grow up!" She said proudly. She turned to Robin. "So, wolves, ducks, what else do you have up your sleeve? I'm itching for a new adventure."

Dr. Smith said, "Well, I see Calla is well taken care of. Ellen, you head on back to work, I'll get back to my paitients."

When the women left, Calla said "Hey, you ok? You seem a bit shaken up, Robin."

"Er, I have rabbits, birds, bear cubs, wolves, deer, ducks, geese, a few squirrels, a raccoon, and… a fox." Robin counted them off on his fingers. "All of which should still be living in the forest next to my house, or near the forest." Robin looked up at Calla's comment. "Hmm? Oh! Y-yeah, I'm fine. I had a panic attack earlier… but I should be okay now."

"I'm sorry if this was weird. You can go if you want." Calla said. Then she thought, Please let them stay, please please stay.

Zoey laughed. "Can I meet them Robin?"

"But let's stay with Calla for a little while longer." Zoey said thoughtfully.

He turned towards Zoey. "Yeah, sure. I don't see why not. But we should stay with Calla for now." He watched Luna playing with Zoey happily and smiled.

A nurse walked in. She said to Robin and Zoey, "Please leave the room for a minute. I need to do a checkup, and if Calla is better, she can leave with a clean bill of health. I'll only be a minute."

Zoey nodded, gently picking Luna up. "We'll be waiting for u Calla." She grabbed Robin by the arm and pulled him out.

Robin nodded and whistled for Luna, who followed him out of the room. He sat against the wall outside, petting his wolf as though it were perfectly normal.

When the nurse was done, she told Calla that she was perfectly fine, but she needed to use a pair of crutches for a week. "Overexertion is nasty after events like these." the nurse said.

Robin tapped his fingers on the floor beside him, another anxious habit that was similar to tapping his foot. Usually, the rhythm of his tapping matched his heartbeat, so one could know how anxious he was based on the speed of his tapping.

Calla walked out and whooped. Normally she had to stay for a month after these events. Now, she only needed crutches. "So, let's meet the woodland creatures, AKA Robins besties." Calla smiled at Robin, and winked.

Zoey laughed and stood up. "Yeah let's go."

Robin flushed a bit and stood up, patting his leg to ask Luna to follow him. His group of animals was still waiting for them outside the door, and he greeted each one once they were out.

Calla got to the woods first. She was immedietly greeted by a badger and a bobcat. Calla said, "The badger is called Lefty, she's a feirce gal. The bobcats name is Wilfred. He's like a posh butler, and really sweet."

Zoey patted one of the fawns on the head gently. "Now this is my kind of party." She said teasingly. "I can't believe that there are other people who enjoy animals as much as I do."

Calla threw the crutches aside and danced gracefully. She sang in a soft, beautiful voice to a fawn, and patted it's head. She laughed and sat down under a tall oak.

Robin happily greeted the animals, who seemed to take a liking to him. "I have quite a few regulars, each of them unique in their own ways. I'd bore you by listing them all." He laughed a bit, petting the bobcat, who was being sniffed by Luna and Lupus. "I name some of my animals in Latin. For example, Papaver, Arbor, Lilium, Lupus, and Luna."

Calla replied, "Wow. Lefty really likes wild truffles." Lefty dug up some rooty plants and scarfed them down. Calla giggled.

Calla sighed. She was content to sit here for hours.

Lupus tried one of the truffles, and seemed to like it. "Oh, yeah. My wolves are omnivores. When I found them as pups, I made sure to feed them both meat and greens. I knew it'd help when food is low in the winter."

Calla said, "Yeah. Wilfred only eats plants, like some sort of vegan kitty."

Lefty hissed at Lupus, as if to say, "Get yer' own trufflies, doggo."

"Perhaps he is vegan? Or vegetarian. it's rare, but I've seen it in carnivorous animals before."
