Lillian wondered what in the world Darren was shouting that for. Wasn’t his dad human?
“I just have to grab something. I apologize your highness,” a small squeaky voice answered.
“You show yourself dear, it’s just me,” Darren laughed. A small creature stood in the middle of He room humbly. He had light blue skin and pointy ears. He stood on 2 feet like a perosn with his arms hugged close to himself.
Lillian looked at the small creature. He was fucking adorable.
“What’s this?” He opened wings from his back that were clear like a fly but glassy. He flew to the bed. “Human?” He pulled up Lillian’s shirt. Inspecting her curiously.
Lillian pulled her shirt down, "Um, yes."
"Finn can you behave please." Darren laughed at the creature.
"Sorry your highness, have I upset you?" He cowered.
"You never upset me little guy," Finn was Bal's best friend despite only being a foot tall.
Lillian found their friendship adorable. So Finn was their name.
"Who is the human? Did it bring goods?" Finn jumped on Lillian's lap, he weighed almost nothing.
"No, she's with me. Her name is Lillian… Lillian this is Finntan but we call him Finn."
"Salutations and hello human," he bowed dramatically.
"It's nice to meet you Finn," Lillian smiled back. Her mind was weighed and Finn was a nice distraction.
“You as well,” Finn took her hand and rubbed his fingers around the back side. Everywhere he touched, a black ink trail followed. When he was done, he had drawn a rose on her hand. “Finns magic can be used on other people. The tattoo will move with your emotions and it’ll be gone in a few days.”
Lillian looked at the black rose, "Thank you Finn."
“You are welcome, it a gift,” he always gave gifts when he met someone.
Lillian smiled at him, "That it is."
There was a sound at the door and Finn turned around. His light blue skin turned an angry red and his glassy wings lit on fire. He may have been adorable before but after all, he was a demon. “Calm down Finn, it’s just the guards changing shifts,”
“Sorry sir,” he growled, his voice now deep and scary, he looked like a creature from someone’s nightmare. “I’m alone in the castle I tend to get paranoid.” He relaxed back to his adorable self. Blue and cuddly.
Lillian chuckled slightly, "Paranoia huh?"
“I’m an anxious little demon,” he sighed and took his fire scorched shirt off. He had attempted to wear clothes out of interest in human customs.
"Something happen?" Lillian asked.
Finn curled into Darren’s side, wedging himself between the two for heat. “His family was… uh… bad things happened,” Darren said.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Lillian responded genuinely.
“It’s okay. I have Balthazar now,”
"We all need a Balthazar."
“We all need a half demon lowlife,” Darren joked.
"Your not a low life."
“I’m kind of a low life,” He shrugged.
"Can you stop putting yourself down."
“I mean I can but it wouldn’t be as fun,”
"It would be for me."
“I feel wrecked and attacked,”
