"Don't say that." Alex told Livio, he didn't want him to look at the incident as a glass half-empty. He got out from his seat and looked out the other windows and tried to look into the compartments in front and behind theirs.

"puh-lease, i sware it feels like dementors are going to come and suck out our souls"

There was probably a malfunction or something,” June muted looking around at everyone panicking.

"I doubt that. There was probably an animal in the tracks."

Out in the darkness something massive moved past the window, only its silhouette visible in the moonlight.

"Merde! did you guys see that?"

“What?” June asked. She hadn’t seen anything.

"Was it a demon?" She asked, looking around. "It looked like it could've been a demon. Or it's just nerves. Who knows?" She nervously rambled

Suddenly something heavy hits the side of the train and sends it off the tracks onto its side, seconds later the power in the train disconnects and the lights go out.

Joy screamed, latching onto the door frame.

Alex's body bent in an unnatural way when the train flipped over. His head hit the roof and his arms were above his head. He was nowhere near the floor and his nose started bleeding. He touched the side of his head before passing out.

Scipio’s arm slammed into the door of the compartment, as well as his head, and there was a horrible cracking sound before he was knocked out cold from the blow.

With the window now facing the open sky a shadow moved over it blocking out all light except for a pair of crimson eyes.

"What-" Joy looked down, still clinging to the door frame. "Who's there?"

The only answer is a low screech.

She cursed, trying to get the door open long enough to get people out. "Come on…"

The creature moves away and travels to the next car where it reaches in and grabs a student dragging it out of the train car.

Livio is just paralyzed hunched up in fear at the monster.

Jane stared at the monster, her eyes wide from shock. She slowly moved her hand into her bag and slowly took out her wand. She obviously didn’t know any spells but she thought hard trying to think of something.

She kicked at the door. "Can someone help me get this open, please?" She asked quietly

Elizabeth heard the noise and quickly walked toward it. "Alohomora," she whispered. The door swung smoothly open.

She smiled. "Thanks." She said, holding out a hand. "Guys. Come one!"

She whispered, "what's going on?"

She pointed slowly at the window. "T-that"

Jane stood up and walked over to the others. She realized that she must of hit her head since she was now dizzy. She walked over to the two other girls still trying to think of a plan.

Eliza nodded her head with grim determination. "Why do things keep happening on the Hogwarts Express?"

She leaned down, poking Livio. "Hey, come on!"

"All right. We obviously can't leave this compartment. We have a better chance in here. Anyone know a lock-freezing curse?"
