Corbin seemed a bit confused at that. Why would Matrix care that he made it? It wasn’t like it was anything special. He didn’t respond, just wanted Matrix eat for a moment before he glanced away.
Corbin seemed a bit confused at that. Why would Matrix care that he made it? It wasn’t like it was anything special. He didn’t respond, just wanted Matrix eat for a moment before he glanced away.
Matrix sighs, taking six more from the plate and dumping syrup on it. Then taking a large bite from the entire stake he had
Corbin looked back at Matrix and watched him eat. He guessed that Matrix had to be starving. He couldn't see Matrix’s chest and stomach, but he guessed that he would be able to see the demon’s ribs.
Matrix finishes off the stack and huffs, falling back in the chair, "That was great. Thanks… I needed that…"
“You’re welcome,” Corbin answered. After a minute, he finished his two pancakes and stood up, taking his and Matrix’s plate to the sink to wash them.
Matrix closes his eyes, steam hissing from his nose. He scratches at the stubs of horns he has left and looks down at Orion.
Corbin was at the sink, washing the dishes. Orion looked up at Matrix, his head cocking to the side while his ears were sticking up.
"Hey puppo." Matrix says, resting the side of his head down on the table. He had suddenly felt a huge headache in his temple and his eyes didnt seem to work propery
Orion’s tail thumped on the floor. Corbin looked over at Matrix and watched him interact with the dog.
Matrix reaches his hand out to the dog, a small and painful smile across his lips. Though he didnt try very hard to pet the dog and soon he dropped his hand with a sigh.
Corbin looked over at Matrix with a frown. “Are you okay? Do you need more pain medicine?”
Matrix looks up at him and sighs shaking his head, "I'm fine… Just weak… And tired…" As he said that his eye lids closed
“Go back to bed, then,” Corbin said, continuing to wash the dishes. “I can wake you up to eat again later, I have some things to do, anyways.”
Matrix stands up and walks over to him, using the counter to support him. He takes a plate and starts to clean it beside Corban.
“Matrix, no,” Corbin said, taking the plate from the demon. “Go back into the guest room and lay down. I can handle this, you need your rest,” he told him.
He opens his mouth to protests, "You've done too much for me. I can do this.' He snaps back with surprising strength.
Corbin frowned slightly at that. “I’m doing this because you are a guest in my home. My hands aren’t broken, I can do the dishes. You’re sick and tired, so go lay down,” he responded.
Matrix snarls.Since his face was so hideous already now this was no laughing matter, "You've done enough. Just let me help."
Corbin frowned heavily, and exhaled sharply. He wasn’t going to argue with Matrix on this. The demon was too stubborn. “Fine, okay,” he huffed.
Hand me the pile then." He snaps then coughs.
Corbin gave Matrix a look before handing him two plates. He picked up one plate, washing it off with a bit of soap.
Matrix looks up at Corban then bends low to the plate. He curls his hand into a circle around his mouth and a stream of steam billowed out. It was very hot and instantly sanitized the plates.
Corbin’s brows raised in surprise. He was learning new things about Matrix every day. They eventually finished up, and he leaned against the counter to get some weight off his leg.
Matrix was coughing and leaning over the sink slightly. He gags once but was able to keep a hold on the molten excess.
“Matrix, come on. Back to bed,” Corbin told him. He reached out to grab Matrix’s wrist, feeling a bit more firm on the fact that he needed to relax.
Matrix didnt protest but stood straight, shaking slightly and pale. He coughs a few times but nothing happened. He flopped down on the bed and curled up, breathing heavilly. His head was spinning slightly. When he was 'normal' he could have done so much more to help. He curses homself
Corbin had watched Matrix leave, and sighed to himself. He reached down to stroke Orion before walking to get his crutch.
Matrix's 'horns' catch on the sheets, accidentally ripping them. He curses, looking at the door incase the human heard the ripping.
Corbin had thought that he heard something from Matrix’s room, but he ignored it. Instead, he knelt down, hissing softly with pain as he did so. With a damp cloth in his hand, he scrubbed off any lasting blood stains from the floor.
Matrix curses, trying to get the threads untangled from his horn stubs, "Crap… That guy couldn't have sawed them off neatly." He sits up cross legged.
