“We can just feed them tablescraps. I brought Ruby some food, too, so she’ll be alright.”

“Okay,” Vien answered, nodding before making his way towards the front door

Vin followed him, gazing idly at Baal. I wonder if he knows how.

Vien unlocked the door, holing it open for the others to walk in before closing it again

Vin smiled and walked in. "Thanks. Sooo… Baal, huh?"

“What about him?” Vien asked, stretching before flopping down on the couch

"Does he get lonely? Being the only dragon?" Vin sat down next to his lover.

“Well, he’s not the only dragon in the multiverse. He is the last of his species, though,” Vien answered

Vin sighed. So many things working against me… I guess it won’t happen… Sorry, Baal…
“Cool. What breed are they?”

“Not entirely sure. I believe the people he protected referred to him as a ‘Vallha,’ or ‘Creature of the Gate,’” Vien explained

“So he protected people?” Vin blinked. It sounded rather cruel to take a guardian of the people.

Vien nodded. "He protected a sort of floating island before he died. He was the last one to protect one of the kingdom's islands before the kingdom fell. There used to be hundreds like him, but he hasn't been able to find them in the spirit world."

Vin hummed gently and held the dragon close. “It must’ve been rough.”

Baal gave a sort of sad whine in response before snuggling into Vin's hold. "I tried to look for them myself, but I can only see into the spirit world, not enter it. Which makes it difficult to look for them," Vien commented

(Okay I don’t want to be that guy, but it would make sense if Demons could go into the Spirit world? I know Vin is a Demon, but I think it’d be a cool piece if the plot and lore. It’s okay if you don’t like that.)

Vin frowned at ‘Spirit World’. He didn’t like the sound of it… seeing the dead. “Hmm… is it… weird?”

(it's all good lol. demons in my storyline can enter the spirit world, and though witches can open doors to the spirit world, they can't exactly go in)

"Not particularly. To me, I can just see spirits going around as if they were right here. Though I've heard the real spirit world is beautiful," Vien answered

(Yeeey a central plot!)

Vin tilted his head. “Sounds frightening.” Can Demons… enter the Spirit world? Vin decided to keep that question to himself.

"Not really, no. The spirit world is mostly made up of peaceful spirits, at least in the one I can see. There are four different spirit worlds, but I can only see into Osiris," Vien hummed

(I feel like I’m being extremely annoying, but can Demons enter all four?)

Vin blinked at his shoes. That sounds… familiar…

(no it's okay, asking for me to clarify is appreciated lol. but basically there are four spirit worlds-Osiris, Behele, Hera, and Mol. Osiris is where spirits who can't move on/peaceful monster spirits rest, Behele is pretty much purgatory/where people's souls are recycled, Hera is basically heaven, and Mol is basically hell. Demons can access all but Hera and Mol, but certain specifically powerful demons can get into Mol. the only problem is that it's basically inescapable)

Vien yawned, stretching for a moment. "But that's alright. Maybe when I die I can look through the spirit world to help Baal."

(Okkkay that’s really cool. Since I myself said Vin was a right hand man of Satan but i don’t wanna overpower him…)

Vin nudged Vien. “You’re not gonna die.”

(there's sort of another realm where demons hang out in my system but if I explain everything we'll be here all day lol)

"I'm bound to die eventually, Vin. That's how humans work. And with my contract, I'll probably end up in Mol," Vien huffed

(Oooh it’s so cool thooouughhh! So is it okay if Vin is super powerful, or do you want me to have him as a minor?)

Vin chuckled. “I’ll have to visit you.”

(it's all good either way. it would make sense that Vin could get into Mol, so do what ya want)

"You'd have a hell of a time getting in, and even worse of a time getting out. The Meltwood makes sure of that," Vien huffed

Vin chuckled. “Ah, I think I’d be okay.”

(Wait, random plot addition: what if Vien dies while Vin’s looking for a dragon?)

Vien just shook his head a bit and chuckled

(NO NO DEATH. just maybe Vin could die but not Vien.)

Vin glanced at him. “What? You think I can’t go in and out of some silly dimension?”

(Well he canonically died before becoming a demon, so I thought that maybe he could die and put off his contract long enough to go looking for Vin in the spirit world)

“I just don’t see why you’re so obsessed with it,” Vien said with a shrug

(Who needs canon you have a pathetic excuse of a roleplay partner who enjoys her fluffffffffff. We’ll figure it out.)

Vin shrugged. “I’m just curious, is all, jeez.”

(Oof okay)

Vien rolled his eyes and chuckled. “Dork,” he teased
