“Well, I passed my first exam,” Athena grinned. He adjusted his lollipop’s position in his mouth.
“Well, I passed my first exam,” Athena grinned. He adjusted his lollipop’s position in his mouth.
Bren grinned. "Cool! What's your major… thing?"
“What… thing? There are many many different answers to that question,” Athena remarked.
"Well… your type. You know, what you study and take tests on?" Bren offered meekly.
“Ooooooooohhh!” Athena nodded in understanding, “That makes sense! Well, I’m an antagonist for a sci-fi adventure sorta thing, I dunno,” Athena shrugged, “What about you?”
"Fantasy, more of a supporting character." He tucked his wings into his back again. "I'm also taking some Adventure classes!"
(yeah i changed his type. fite me)
I-I’d… rather…. not…… fite…….. you……….//
“Nice! I don’t think I’ve seen you in any classes,” Athena mused.
(Good cuz… I wouldn't win. Clears throat)
Bren shrugged. "Maybe you haven't noticed?"
“With those huge things,” Athena indicated Bren’s wings, “I doubt I’d be able to miss you.”
Bren laughed gently. "Hey, what's your name, anyway? I'm Bren."
“Athena,” he smiled, “So, we should probably get away from the stairs so we aren’t nuisances to other people,” someone grumpily pushed himself in between the two, emphasizing Athena’s point.
"Right. How about we go outside?" Bren offered with a smile back.
“I’m not entirely sure. A hero, most likely.” Aramis said, looking down at her lap.
Felix shook his head again. If I am to be a hero, I could always use a companion. Then again, shifters don't usually have other shifters as companions…
"You know, just because you don't have a weapon or ability doesn't mean you can only be a companion."
”I know, I know. I’ve been told that a hundred times already but…” She shrugged and looked at Felix, “I’m not one to play the hero in a story, so companion it is. I’m not upset with the idea, don’t get me wrong, just… overthinking I guess, sorry.”
"Right. How about we go outside?" Bren offered with a smile back.
“Sure! Lead the way,” Athena smiled back.

Bren nodded and led the way to the outside porch, where it overlooked the campus. It was quiet, sunny and pleasantly breezy.
Felix smiled. "No need to apologise. Believe it or not, I was often berated by kids back home for the way I was raised and for wanting to be a hero. Shifters, as I'm sure you know, aren't typically seen as 'worthy' to be put in the spotlight." He sighed and leaned forward, giving Aramis a slight grin. "Perhaps we'll just have to prove them wrong."
Athena looked at the scenery, smiling as a cool breeze tossled the hair that wasn’t under his cap. He leaned on the porch’s railing, looking out at the campus, “So, have any ideas on what you wanna do?” Athena asked, looking at Bren from the corner of his eye.
Bren stretched his wings out, gazing up at the sky.
"Wanna take a ride?" He asked, with a glace towards Athena. "The weather's perfect for flying."
Athena raised an eyebrow and turned to face Bren, still leaning against the railing, “Are you sure you can carry me?” Athena teased.
Bren's wings fluttered. "I'm sure I'd be able to," He answered breezily, with a grin.
Athena let out a small laugh, “Alright, you better not drop me!” Athena winked. He pushed himself forward with the railing, “So, how are we gonna go about this?” Athena asked.
Bren laughed and turned a faint red. "Just climb on my back."
Athena nodded, jumping onto the railing to see Bren’s back better. All he really saw was a flurry of feathers, “How’s that gonna work, exactly? I don’t think I can get on without another mouthful of feathers and ripping a few out.” Athena squatted down, still keeping his balance on the somewhat thin railing.
Bren sighed. "Just wrap your arms around my neck, and your legs around my waist, as if I'm about to give you a piggyback ride."
“Alright, don’t blame me if I accidentally pull a few feathers out,” Athena grinned playfully. He climbed onto Bren’s back, grabbing onto Bren’s neck and wrapping his legs around his waist. Athena tried to avoid any feathers, but it was difficult not to, “Sorry!” Athena apologized.
"That's okay! It might be a little bumpy at first, just saying." He swung off the railing with difficulty and his wings took over. They scooped up off of the ground with a mighty beat of Bren's wings, and up into the sky.
Athena yelled at the take off, taken aback by the sudden speed. Athena tucked his face in as the wind whipped at him, taking his cap and half-eaten lollipop, “Crap,” Athena murmured. He looked up, his eyes drying out and his face felt like it was going to be peeled off because of the harsh winds. Athena tucked his head in again.
Bren pulled up above the campus and looked down, the wind whipping his long hair out. He loved it. He laughed as he swept through the air, unaware with the terrified Athena on his back.
Aramis blushed slightly but smiled back, “I’m sure we will.” She said, resting her head in one hand.
Athena just wished he could see the view.
He was able to get a few looks, looking at how high they were. It didn’t seem too high, so he tapped Bren, “Higher!” Athena tried to yell over the whipping wind, probably to no avail. He wondered where his hat was, wondering if he’d ever see it again.
