(Okie! :D)
(Ryan has a lot of friends and Darren has a lot of brothers)
(True.)
(Just trying to make sure you’re involved)
(Y'all always go so far without me, so I come back and am like "Screw it, idk what's even happening")
(We don't really do anything… Our characters are always in the same place just talking.)
(But I still miss entire pages. It's fine. <– No sarcasm)
(Lol sorry)
(It's fine.)
(Lol. I don't think so, no.)
Her breath… What breath? It was like she forgot how to breathe. Like she was suspended in time with Darren, only needing Darren to survive.
He was used to temporary hook ups and short relationships. It’s what things were for him but he was starting to think this would be longer, this would be real. How could he know?
She drew away from his lips and kissed his jaw softly before resting her head on his chest. Her temple felt the beat of his heart.
His heartbeat was a fast flutter, quickened by her mere touch. It was clear how nervous she could make him without saying a word
Paige smiled and curled into his chest. His heartbeat was rapid. Was he scared? Nervous? Nervous, she decided. But why? She cuddled against him.
He didn’t want to mess up, he didn’t want her to leave him the way everyone else always seemed to. His finger tapped against her back, personifying his nervousness.
She lifted her head. "What's wrong?" she asked softly.
“Why do you think something’s wrong?” He smiled back at her.
"Nervous?" she challenged directly.
“Okay… you have a point. So maybe I’m nervous,”
"Why?" She rested her chin on his chest.
“You,” he propped his head up with his hands.
"M-Me?" Paige faltered, blushing. Her? Why her?
“Yes, who else?” He laughed.
"Why me?"
“What do you mean why you,” he was neglecting answering the question.
"You know what I mean," she insisted, inching forward slowly.
He was finding it increasingly difficult to talk or even breath. The closer she got, the faster his heart pumped.
"Well?" she murmured. She was close enough to kiss him, but she wanted him to answer her first.
Maybe he could get out of this? There wa so lynone way obvious to him but he didn’t think it would work. He leaned forward and kissed her.
"Why?" she whispered against his lips. "Why me?"
“I’m used to people leaving,” he whispered back as he kissed her deeper.
