Ruby barked hotly at Vien and trotted into the living room to lay down.

Vien rolled his eyes before sitting down on the couch. Baal followed after Ruby

Ruby hopped up into one of the leather seats in the room, turning in a circle once or twice, then laying down with a sigh.

Baal hopped up after her, curling up on top of her happily

Ruby barked at him, but didn’t shake him off.
Vin leaned back in the chair he was sitting in outside and shut his eyes with a gentle sigh.

Vien got up from the couch, walking outside to find Vin. Smiling gently, he sat down in a chair beside him

Vin opened his eyes and looked at Vien. “What?”

"Just figured I'd enjoy the view while the pizzas cook," Vien answered with a small smile

Vin raised his eyebrows then looked back out at the horizon. “It’s nice,” Vin said suddenly.

Vien hummed in agreement. Reaching over, he placed his hand over Vin's, giving it an affectionate squeeze

Vin laughed gently and squeezed it back. “So, why are we really out here, huh? Are you gonna propose or something?”

"Actually, you're kind of right about that," Vien said with a soft smile. Slowly, he got out of the chair before getting on one knee. He reached into his pocket, slowly pulling out a small black box

(Really? Just like that? Mmm…)

Vin blinked a couple times, sitting up in his chair. “You mean it?”

(I'm lazy and multitasking and I can't be classy right now)

"Well, I was going to be classier about it. Few glasses of good wine, that sort of thing. But hell, we're at the beach, at sunset, and I figured it'd be pretty romantic," Vien said with a small, awkward smile

(Honestly mee tooo I get it.)

Vin fought a laugh. “This is the type of thing you’d find romantic… alright, yes, I’ll marry you.”

"I didn't even get to do the speech yet," Vien complained. "It was all thought out and romantic."

Vin laughed impusively. “I’m not going to let you mellow out this moment!”

"Do you want the speech or not?" Vien huffed

Vin clicked his tongue. “If you worked so hard on it, of course, dear.”

Vien sighed exasperatedly. "You killed the mood, it won't be romantic anymore," he complained

Vin rolled his eyes. “You’re the one bellyaching about it. Just give me the damned speech.”

(frick)

"Okay, okay," Vien sighed. "Vin, I…I've known you for a very long time. Ever since you first walked into the bar, I knew something between us had…clicked. And it took me a long time to finally ask you if you wanted to go out. And our first kiss…God, it was amazing. Every moment has been amazing. And I want to have those moments with you for as long as we live. So, Vin…will you marry me?"

Vin burst out laughing. “Wow, I really did ruin it, didn’t I? Of course I’ll marry you!”

"Oh, shut up," Vien huffed, rolling his eyes as he opened the box to reveal a beautiful ring
