"How about I go sneak us some food and I'll meet you back here?" Ty was hungry, but didn't want to go back to class. "You're welcome to look at my pictures while I'm gone." All his pictures were in a corner of the room. Even though they were good, he's never put them in an art contest. Ty didn't think they were good enough.
Vash stood there stairing at herself in the mirror feeling like a piece of trash. its fine. He doesn't hate you. He wouldn't…right? her anxiety went sky rocketing I just can't tell him. He'd try and stop me. she tried to reassure herself.
"Okay." She glanced to the corner where his pictures hung. Time stopped. She was breathless. "Wow. Those are amazing." It was like he had taken the stars and moon and placed them on a paper.
He looked over to his paintings. "Its okay… I guess." He gently stood up so that he wouldn't hurt Kate. "This one is my favorite." He pulled out a painting of a young girl in a white dress, with her hair curled, same ice blue eyes as Ty, but her hair was a light brown and not black and a huge smile on her face, in a field of purple flowers. "This is my sister, shes 12 right now and I only get visits twice a month. But she wanted me to paint her and show her when she comes down next." Ty looked at his phone and checked the date. "Which will be in two days. So, you'll get to meet her. She super sweet." Ty handed the painting to Kate and walked to the door. "I'll be right back, you can look at the rest if you want."
She stared at the painting. She couldn't even hear the door close. The world fell away. Every detail seemed to be included, and although Kate had never met her, she felt like she didn't need to, almost as if every aspect of her was right in front of her eyes. She pulled her eyes away and walked to the other paintings. There was one she absolutely loved. It was of the night sky. It perfectly showed the brightness of the stars, but also the depth of the darkness in-between. "Whoa," she whispered to herself. His paintings were spectacular I every way with every color.
Ty snuck off to the cafeteria and grabbed two plates of food then quickly ran out so know one would really pay attention. He made it back to the art room and saw that Kate had been looking at his painting of the night sky. "I painted that when I could sleep one on, it was kind of just thrown together so it's not very good." He laid her food next to her and he began to eat his. He was going to lie, the stress from the past few days made him not hungry.
Her attention snapped back to reality. "What?" She looked at him. "Are you kidding this is amazing?" She looked back at it, her voice softening. "I don't think the real thing is this beautiful."
A soft laugh cam from Ty when Kate said that. "You're kidding right?" No painting of the night sky could be as beautiful as the really thing. "You're funny." He moved closer and looked at the painting with her. "You can have it if you want."
"I'm not lying it's amazing." She glanced at him and smiled. "No, I'm fine." She felt him step closer. She could feel his presence, like he was supposed to be there every moment of her life. If he were to move even a little, it felt like the world would fall apart. "I'm just admiring it."
"If you say so. I'm just not sure what to do with all of them, I dont have enough space in my house to put them." Ty was sitting up straight looking down at the painting. He's always had very good posture. His glasses started to slip down his nose, so he pushed them up with his shoulder, because he didn't want to stop eating. "Do you want to come over to my house and meet my sister when she comes down?"
"I'd love to, but you only get to see her so often, I wouldn't want to take that away." Kate still didn't look away from the painting. She didn't eat any of her food, she forgot it was there. Her legs were getting tired, but she didn't want to have to look away from the art.
"Its fine, she'll be excited to meet my girlfriend." She was always asking if he had one anyway. Plus having another girl around would be nice, she can ask Kate questions that she wouldn't be able to ask Ty. "You should eat. It's not that bad today." Why does she like that picture so much. "Right, what did you think of the drawing I did of you?" He was a bit scared to ask, but he needed to know if it was good enough.
"If you want me to come, I will." She glanced at the food. Not that bad? "I'm not really hungry." She thought of the paper, every line forming a picture of her. "It's amazing."
Blue tipped his head back against the lockers. I’d just need to where my sweatshirt, no one would notice, no one would care… It’d just be this one time… Blue couldn’t help himself and he brought one hand up to his arm and raked his nails down it, like red irritated skin behind. The relief it brought seemed intoxicating, even if it only lasted for a second. His looked at his arm, raking his nails down it a second time. It’s not hurting anybody… Besides, it’d fade by the time Vash got back.

Vash felt a pain on her arm. oh gosh she burst outta the bathroom and spotted blue. "What did you do?" She asked a hint of anger in her voice.
He would offer to make her lunches like Xavier, but he couldn't cook as well as he does. At least she thought the picture was good. "Sorry, I would cook for you, like Xavier but you would only get simple stuff and nothing to extravegant." Now he just felt bad for not being able to cook anything for her. "My grandma makes amazing Mexican food if you would like to come over? Of course you don't have too."
Her voice sounded slightly distracted. "You're fine. I'm just not hungry." Finally, she turned to him. "I'd love to, but I don't know." (Sorry it's short I'm just a tad bit busy)

Blue turned his head sharply, thankfully the lines hand gone away, “I didn’t do anything. What are you talking about?” Blue wrung his hand as he gave Vash a confused look.
"Like I said, you don't have too. Seriously you can say no, it won't hurt my feelings." Ty gave her a reassuring smile. He didn't want her to think that if she ever said no to him that it would hurt his feelings. "If you're not hungry that's fine, sometimes people just aren't." He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear so he could see her face better.
"Your arm. I know you did some thing to it." Anger flared in her voice. "Look you can't just hurt yourself." Her face softened. "You can't do that to yourself." She took his hand in hers.
"Like I said, you don't have too. Seriously you can say no, it won't hurt my feelings." Ty gave her a reassuring smile. He didn't want her to think that if she ever said no to him that it would hurt his feelings. "If you're not hungry that's fine, sometimes people just aren't." He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear so he could see her face better.
She blushed as his hand brushed her face. "It's not that I don't want to go, I just-" she looked to the floor. "I don't know." She glanced to her food. The past few years, she hasn't eaten as much. It wasn't intentional, she just didn't seem as hungry. Not since… She pushed the thought out of her mind. Stop.
Blue pulled away, going back to wring his hands and he let his hair flop in his face again, “I didn’t hurt myself, I don’t know what your talking about.” He couldn’t tell her about it, he couldn’t tell her what he felt. It would probably only make the gap between them worse.
"Would you like to go stargazing with me sometime?" He knew she liked the stars and it seemed she didn't really want to talk about the whole food situation, so he tried his best to change the topic. "I have this great place I always go to. It would have to be on a weekend because its quite a drive." His glasses started to slip again, and this time he just took them off and set them aside.
"Of course!" Her eyes lit up. Stars, something that was always there, whether or not she could see them. Not only just stargazing, but road trips where you put your head out the window amd let the wind blowing threw your hair, tangling it up in millions of knots. That never bothered her though. She could stargaze or drive for hours and she'd have an amazing time.
"Blue…" Her eyes pleaded. "Did you hurt yourself?" She wanted to reach for his hand again but kept herself from doing so.
“No,” Blue reassured, then forced a smile, “I’m fine, Vash.” He looked the other way, down the hallway, “We should get lunch, I’m starved.”
"Great, just tell me what weekend you're free and we'll go." Kate's reaction just made him want to go even more. Ty laid his head on his knee and just looked at her. His picture didn't do her justice, she much more beautiful in person.
"I'm free any and every weekend." She smiled. There was something in the way he looked at her, it was different than Xavier. Xavier seemed happy when he looked at her. Ty, it was admiration. And love. Every growing love.
“So what class do you have next?” He asked
"I have band and then English next. What about you?" She asked, hoping they might have at least one class together.
“I have a free class then English. After lunch I have art.” He said
"So I might see you in English and we can walk to lunch together!" Ash clapped her hands together with giddiness.
"So this weekend?" He grinned. He wasn't as good at winking or doing the flirtation stuff as Xavier was but he would give it a try. "I have like this camper top thing that can go over the back of the truck, like in case it rains." Ty talked with his hands a lot so he was trying to show how it looked without it actually being there. "And I can put a mattress in the back, bring snack and drinks." His eyes lit up as he was talking about it. Whenever it came to camping or doing anything outdoors, he loved it.
