Antoine looks towards the others phone. "Alright…" he says softly. He quickly glances at the phone.
Antoine looks towards the others phone. "Alright…" he says softly. He quickly glances at the phone.
Bro: Dude, come on. Dad's in rage mode, wth happened?
Sis: Al, you can't ignore me forever
Sis: Why didn't you ever say anything?
Dad: Stay away from your siblings, they don't need your terrible influence in their live
Antoine looks away. How could someone say that to their own son? It just wasn't right. He walks towards the living room, shaking his head.
After finishing cleaning up, Alistair grabs his phone and heads to the living room. Upon entering, he sees Tony on the couch looking a bit upset. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, concerned.
Antoine looks up, "Huh? Oh… unpleasant memories." He replies.
"Are you sure?" Alistair asked, worried for his new friend. "Aare you sure it's nothing else? Maybe I could help."
"I'm sure." He says gently, patting the seat beside him. "Come, sit." He says happily.
Frowning, Alistair shrugs, then goes and sits next to Tony. As he settles down, his phone buzzes again, and he pulls it out of his sweatpants pocket.
Aunt Chelsa: Young man, I know your parents didn't raise you to be like this. What is the matter with you?
Bro: Al, come on, man. It's been three days
Alistair wanted to cry, but he didn't want Tony to see that, so he just closed his eyes and leaned his head back, hoping Tony wouldn't notice the silver lining his eyelashes.
Tony, in fact, did. His eyes grown concerned as he carefully turns the other to face him. "What's wrong?" He asks softly, his eyes filled with concern.
Alistair opens his eyes and blinks rapidly, attempting to subtly get rid of the tears. "Oh, nothing," he says, trying to smile, but failing miserably.
Antoine shakes his heads, "I may not know pain well, but I can see it…" He mutters, staring at the other. "What's going on?"
"I just- ah, it's nothing, really," Alistair insisted, still trying to smile, but the tears refused to listen and began to roll down his cheeks. It was like his face cracked; his smile faded, his eyes dimmed, and his chin fell. "Don't worry about it," he said softly, looking down. "I'm totally fine."
Antoine shakes his head, gently wiping away his tears. "You and I both know you're lying." He says gently.
"I don't know what to do," Alistair whispered, his voice cracking as big, fat silver tears ran down his cheeks. "My whole family hates me."
Antoine's eyes shut as he pulls Alistair into a hug. He didn't know what else to do… So he just held him, shushing him as he let him cry.
"I don't understand what I did wrong," he sobbed quietly into Tony's shoulder. "I didn't hurt anyone; I didn't break the law or anything like that. Yet they hate me."
"Why would they hate someone like you?" He says gently. He holds Alistair close, rubbing his back. "I've got you. It's okay."
"My father disowned me," Alistair whispered, his voice cracking again. "My siblings probably think I'm broken. The rest of my family either doesn't care, wants to stay out of it, or agrees with my dad."
"Whatever for? A father should never disown his son, no matter what they do." He whispers.
"I- I just -I can't - I'm scared to tell you," Alistair cried softly. "What if you hate me, too? I just met you, I don't want to lose your friendship already."
"I won't abandon you… I mean… look at me." he says softly, "I can't feel any pain…" He smiles softly. "I'm not going to hate someone as kind as you."
Alistair looked up at him with red eyes. "How do I know that?" he asked, his voice cracking. "My family deemed me no longer worthy of their love, why wouldn't you be the same?"
Antoine's eyes narrow. "I would not hurt someone who has shown me compassion for the first time in 16 years." He says, shaking his head. "And more importantly I would never hurt a friend."
(Is… this a Legally Blonde reference?)
(Yes)
(In a way)
Alistair sat back, took a deep breath, and tried to wipe away some of his tears.
"My family disowned me," he said hoarsely. "Because I'm gay and they think that makes me a freak."
Antoine blinked owlishly. Then he shakes his head. "I'm sorry." He says softly, hugging the other gently.
Alistair didn't move. He didn't know what to do. "You- you don't hate me?" he asked quietly.
"Why would I hate you?" He asks softly, "You prefer men over women. No big deal." He shrugs and pulls away, wiping away excess tears. "Doesn't change the fact that you're a wonderful person."
