"She thinks she's catching cold, but I'm not so sure…" Riverpaw trailed off thoughtfully.

Swiftwing sighed. "Sounds like a typical Moonfur."

Riverpaw smiled. It certainly did.

"Riverpaw? did you say your mentors coming down with cold?" Frostshade asked her from behind

Riverpaw turned. "Well, she certainly thinks she is."

"thats strange, she has not come to the medicine den" he mutters

Riverpaw rolled her eyes, but tryed to stay respectful. "She thinks she's sick, she thinks she's tough." She replied.

"well please remind the mousebrain that she needs to see me" he said "when we were apprentices she would always do thaat"

Swiftwing laughed and nodded. "Yes, I remember."

"she wouldnt come until i literly dragged her to the med den"

"Remember the one time she thought that she ate a poisoned vole? Do you remember what she said?"

"yes i belive her exact words were 'im going to dieeeeeeeeeee tell mother i love her!"

Swiftwing giggled. "And we told her that she'd be fine. Did she believe us? Nope!"

"i told her that i was a medicene cat in training and her words were 'xatly in training i cant trust you with my life' i remeber that"

(It's fine. I just know that there are some people (including me when it gets really bad) who don't like that. That's all! :D)

Swiftwing sighed. "We were apprentices how many moons ago? Now, we're warriors! And medicine cat!" she giggled.

Shadepaw walked over to the other apprentice.

"oh stars it feels like just a moon!" he sighs

"I miss those times, they were fun." he says

"It is required by Starclan for me to choose a new deputy by midnight, and that I must choose a strong warrior, both physically and mentally," She looked at Swiftwing and smiled. "And I shall act accordingly."

"Swiftwing," she announced. "You are a talented warrior and never once have you stopped doing your best. Do you accept the role of deputy, and the fact that you shall defend the clan at the cost of your life?"

Swiftwing gaped for a moment out of pure shock. She quickly composed herself and stood. "I do," she meowed firmly.
