"Who was that?!" "My ex. At least, that's what I call him for the sake of simplicity. Who is, coincidentally, Darren's older brother." She chuckled.
"Who was that?!" "My ex. At least, that's what I call him for the sake of simplicity. Who is, coincidentally, Darren's older brother." She chuckled.
Lillian grinned, coincidences are often and can make for good stories. At least in her eyes they did.
Darren laughed, he's an asshole We've established.
"I've never seen that one before, why'd you show it now? It seems kind of personal." "To prove that I'm actually human. I've had trauma happen to me and that's why I've turned into who I am. I'm quiet, yes, but for good reasons."
Darren's eyes searched the crown, she was gone. Was that a good thing or not? What was she planning?
Lillian figured that wasn't a great reason to show something so personal, but whatever floated Belle's boat.
"Well it was sweet nonetheless." "Am I done now?" "Yes, yes you are." "Good." She sat back in her seat, her eyes scanning the crowd. They'd gone deadly quiet, shocked into silence.
Lillian let out a quiet sigh, they could move on. And maybe soon she could get off this damn stage. Wait, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON IN HER HEAD?!
Darren felt a drop of water hit his face, he was inside how could it be raining? He looked up to see a bucket of water with a rope tied around it in the rafters, whoever was on the end if the rope only had to pull it slightly and he and Lillian would be soaked. He had a good idea who did this but said nothing, he didn't want to cause a scene so he instead tried to get Lillian's attention quietly.
"Can we go now?" "We're just about finished so yes." "Great." She stood, regal and proper, glancing over at the other two to start getting down.
Lillian looked to Darren silently asking 'what?'
Ryan followed after Belle to exit the stage.
Darren stood maybe too quickly, he took Lillian's hand and pulled her away from the range of the bucket and off the stage.
Lillian followed him quickly, almost breathing a sigh of relief. Off the stage, away from the crowd, a feeling she never knew before.
She walked down the stairs into the crowd. Everyone was still silent and staring at her, it was starting to give her anxiety. Maybe we shouldn't have done that…
Darren noticed the silence, there had to be something he could do… "Lillian, go with Belle and Ryan, I'll meet up with you guys I'm just gonna go pull the attention off of us,"
Lillian nodded and moved to follow Belle and Ryan, "Don't do something too stupid."
She walked off the stage and into the crowd.
The silence was suffocating, her eyes didn't stay in the same place for more than a few seconds, she couldn't. She squeezed her hands together to avoid having anymore notice that they were shaking.
"Nothing stupid," he promised as he walked back on stage, …Music… Good enough idea and I was scheduled to help with music tonight anyways… The water dude, water hurts me you know that It'll be fine, Jess wouldn't expose me in front of all these people. Anyways I need a song, something upbeat that not alot of people would know so they're distracted… I don't know human this is stupid… I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You. Good enough.
He walked behind the microphone, this was dumb, he could feel how nervous he was getting already but he needed some way to help. He cleared his throat into the mic.
Lillian looked up to see Darren with a mic. Okay yeah, this made a lot of sense. She looked around for Belle and Ryan.
The crowd snapped their attention up to Darren up on stage and she sighed quietly, thankful for the distraction.
"You are the girl that I've been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl. You are the girl that I've been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl One, I'm biting my tongue. Two, He's kissin' on you. Three, Oh, why can't you see?" The song made no sense but it was a go to party song and seemed to work well enough to change people's focus of attention, "The word's on the streets and it's on the news. I'm not gonna teach him how to dance with you. He's got two left feet and he bites my moves. I'm not gonna teach him how to dance, dance, dance, dance. The second I do, I know we're gonna be through. I'm not gonna teach him how to dance with you. He don't suspect a thing. I wish he'd get a clue"
(Why is the glee version better than the original? I'm so done)
(Lol)
Lillian was grinning as Darren sang. He had a great voice, and she was glad he got to sing. Even if it was a slight distraction.
She tapped along in time with the song. It was a good distraction from her anxiety.
The song came to an end and the applause set in giving Darren enough time to flee the stage. He was glad nothing more had happened with the water as he rejoined the group, "Good enough distraction?" He asked the three as he brushed off his suit.
Lillian leaned up and kissed his cheek, "Best distraction ever."
"I suppose you could say that." She smiled, relieved.
"Great," he smiled.
"That's why I'm the guitarist, he's better than me," Ryan joked.
"Don't say that, I love your singing voice." She glanced over at Ryan.
"Yeah sure, you love it but that doesn't mean he's not better than me," Ryan bumped Darren's arm.
Lillian laughed a little, "I'm sure your good too Ryan. Just Darren is a little better. That's all."
