Vin shouldered a book bag, other smaller grocery bags, then shut the trunk with his elbow before following them.
Vin shouldered a book bag, other smaller grocery bags, then shut the trunk with his elbow before following them.
Vien reached into his pocket, shifting Baal more to one arm before pulling out a very antique-looking key. He unlocked the cabin before stepping inside
Vin stumbled over the front step, caught himself, then let the bags down by the door. “Nice place,” He commented vaguely.
Vien hummed in agreement. It was rather spacious, with lots of windows to let in a view of the ocean below them. It was a very short distance away, what with the fact that they were up on a cliff above the stretch of private beach
Vin glanced over at Ruby, who was whining at Vien’s heels.
"Alright, alright, calm down," Vien said before prying Baal off of him. The dragon whined loudly before eventually huffing and resolving to settling down on the couch
Ruby barked angrily at Baal as he got set down on the cushions. Vin picked up the bags again and carried them into the kitchen.
Baal stuck his long tongue out at Ruby, wiggling it at him while Vien began to help put things away
Ruby borked angrily and padded away after Vien.
Vin glanced at Vien as he entered. “I got it.”
"You sure?" Vien asked before turning to raise a brow at Ruby
Vin nodded.
Ruby sat down, panting, and when Vien looked at her, she borked.
"What's up with Ruby?" Vien asked before reaching down to pat her head
Ruby scrambled away from him, borking angrily.
Vin glanced over. “I dunno, I’ve never seen her act like that.”
"Is she losing her mind? Because that's what it looks like," Vien said in a confused tone
Vin glanced at Vien. “Dogs can’t loose their minds.”
“Tell that to the rabies virus,” Vien hummed before looking at Ruby. “Is that what’s wrong with you? Do you have rabies?” he cooed
Vin rolled his eyes. “Yeah, the only way she’d get rabies is from Baal.”
Ruby borked hotly at Vien.
“Baal’s a spirit, he can’t give Ruby rabies,” Vien scoffed
“Then no, she doesn’t have rabies,” Vin said, ignoring Vien’s scoff.
“Well, What’s wrong with her then?” Vien asked
“I don’t know!”
"Maybe Baal knows," Vien suggested. He looked over at the dragon, who was lying lazily on the back of the couch
Ruby restlessly barked and trotted away from them, into one of the bedrooms.
“Maybe he upset her.”
"He doesn't look very upset," Vien said as he looked at the dragon who was now hanging half off the couch
“Ruby can be pretty sensitive.” Vin walked over next to Vien.
"Well, there's only one thing to do then," Vien hummed. He walked over to Baal, grabbing him up off the couch and tossing him at Ruby
Ruby barked hotly and hopped off the bed, where Baal landed a couple moments later.
“I… don’t think that worked.”
"It will," Vien said smugly. Baal whined and chased after Ruby, trying to hop onto her back
Ruby growled angrily and sped out the back door.
Vin followed the pair, looking mildly interested.
Baal yapped and chased after her, flapping his wings madly as he worked to catch up
