Baal whimpered sadly. Slowly, he seemed to melt until he turned into a sad-looking, starry puddle on the floor

Ruby watched it, hung off of the couch and sniffed the puddle curiously, with a bork.

The puddle materialized into Baal again, who looked pretty sad from the way he was lying awkwardly on the floor

Ruby lifted him up by a paw and set him down on the couch.

Baal made a sort of sad yap as he didn’t bother moving

Ruby set her head on his tummy with a sigh.
