He sighed. "I don't know, you don't look happy here… but…" Havenwood shrugged. "I dunno, I'll think about it some more."

Deleted user

"But I want to stay, okay?" Her voice turns soft and vulnerable. "Please. Don't send me back."

Deleted user

Havenwood winced gently at the tone in her voice. "Alright, I guess."

Deleted user

"Thank you." There was silence for a few moments. You just made another stupid decision, didn't you? You shouldn't drive me away with pills like that. Elise looked up in what was almost fear to Havenwood. "Conscience is back." That's right, you little crap. I'm back. And look what you did while I was gone.

Deleted user

Havenwood hugged her. "It'll be okay. Just…" He trailed off, not sure what to say.

Deleted user

"I hate it." Now, why would you hate me? "Because it makes me think and do things that aren't me." But I am you. "Not the real me." Uh-huh. You just don't like reasoning. You're reckless and impulsive. "See?"

Deleted user

Havenwood sat down on the couch with her in his arms. "It's not you, love. You're better than her."

Deleted user

"I hope so." She cringed. "Except for the horrid fact that she is me. And the only thing that makes her go away is mental health pills. And those don't last very long, either." See, darlin'? You can't get rid of yourself, now can you?

Deleted user

Havenwood put his chin on her head and shut his eyes. "I'm sorry, Elise…"

Deleted user

"Don't be. It's not your fault." She wrapped her arms around him, wanting to scream from Conscience but not.

Deleted user

Havenwood wrapped his legs around her waist and pulled her closer, leaning his forehead against hers.

Deleted user

"I'm the one who should be sorry. For making you listen to her." Elise closed her eyes.

Deleted user

Havenwood kissed Elise gently. "That's okay. I don't blame you."

Deleted user

Elise looked up at him. "Thank you. I must seem like such a mess. All of this."

Deleted user

(IUUUugh I HAVE TO GO SOON BRUH. I'll be on this time tomorrow)

Havenwood shook his head. "It's okay. There's a lot worse that can happen."

Deleted user

(see ya dude)
"I doubt you've ever seen worse, though. I'm sorry." She shook her head.

Deleted user

(Nah I'll just ghost soon lol)

"No, that's okay. Don't be sorry."

Deleted user

"Oh, thank god." She buries her head in his chest, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Why so quick to decide? That could have been a glorious option. She groans, muffled. "Look who's back."

Deleted user

Havenwood hugged her back, running a hand through her hair. "Just… look, you can find some way to fight her, and I'll help you the best I can."

Deleted user

"I can try, but - again - she's my conscience. It's proven difficult to get rid of your own conscience."

Deleted user

"I know." Havenwood sighed, realizing how stupid the suggestion sounded.

Deleted user

Elise looked up and smiled. "Could you scare her, perhaps? I tend to scare out of things quite often."

Deleted user

"Scare… how would I do that?" Havenwood raised an eyebrow.

Deleted user

"You can speak think, too. Yell at her in your head or something. I don't know." She shrugs. What a stupid idea. How low must you stoop, dear Elise?

Deleted user

"I…I can't yell at stuff. I don't yell." Havenwood blinked, feeling abashed. He wanted to help, but as he said, he's not a scarer!

Deleted user

Elise tilted her head. "Strange. Threaten her, then. It's okay if you can't, I'll deal. But…just try and shoo her off a bit." So cowardly you recruit your lover's help, Elise? A low move. Speak up. Shut up. I'm your conscience. I will never shut up.

Deleted user

Havenwood glanced around. "I… uh… well she has to piss me off first!"
