"Everyone please be quiet." Sami groaned. She was trying to make sense out of Amber's tapping, and nobody else was helping. She had no idea if anyone else knew Morse code, or if the taps where just nonsense. She really didn't want to have to resort to the Last Option, which could get her all sorts of arrested and executed. Especially since the princess was here.

Motivation was back. Hopelessness was back. The two forces battled inside her before, finally, Kira sat up, surprisingly exasperated at the effort. Somehow pushing forward, Kira was able to get up on her knees and stand up, gasping. One of the guards turned back to look at her, but just smirked and turned back around. Kira thought she heard Sami and Anna talking somewhere in the distance, but it was very faint, and she couldn't even trust she actually heard it. (Kira is also far away from everybody else.)

Hey guys its Sami. Sami tapped out. I have an idea to get us out, but it will mosy likely get me arrested, possibly hanged. ps Anna's here too.

(lol, yup. Ariene literally had to resort to annoying people so she could get answers. XD)

(And then Amber thought of an actually smart plan.)

Hello? Sami wasn't getting an answer from Amber. It was to dark, did something happen?

Amber listened intently. She tapped back. I'm okay. What should we do?

You know what, screw it. Sami thought. She couldn't even get up. Might as well give the others a chance to escape. Sami adjusted herself into a relatively comfortable sitting position.
"Anna." She said in a small voice.
"Yeah? Are you okay?" Anna replied.
"I'm good. Are you tied up?"
"No. But I'm one of the only ones."
"I'm going to open your door okay?" Everything in the room went silent, even Amber stopped her tapping. Only the faint chatter and laughter of the guards could be heard.
"How the bloody heck are you going to do that?" Anna sounded extremely confused. "Am I missing something?"
Sami ignored this and concentrated.
"φωτιά." Sami muttered. Warm firelight danced on her palm, a ball the size of a walnut, illuminating the small, dank room. It was one of the few spells Sami could remember from her old book of elemental magic, a firelight spell. Only use for it is as light. Anna gasped aloud.
"Please don't freak out." Sami said hurriedly. Anna stared at the ball of flame in her hand.
"Are you a warlock?" Anna asked quietly. Nobody else in the room spoke, but that was mostly because they were all gagged.
"No." She answered. A warlock is a human that practices magic. "Please don't tell Kira about this." She added quietly. "She would have me hanged, or burned."
Anna nodded, in silent shock, and Sami placed the ball of light on the floor. It sputtered. Elemental magic is draining. Sami raised her left hand and pointed at the lock on Anna's cell door. Her eyes flashed bright gold and the lock lifted and came undone. Anna sprang up and rushed out of the cell and found a torch and matches. The ball of fire was now taking a serious toll on Sami, from keeping it going for so long. Sweat shined on her forehead, and her head ached. Anna quickly lit the torch, and Sami let the ball sputter out. She prominently collapsed, her head swimming. Sami hadn't used magic in a long time, much less fire magic. It was actually embarrassing how quickly she was drained.
What would Elijah say if he could see you now. She thought, just as she began to lose consciousness. The last thing she saw was Anna pick the lock on her cell, then her mind was enveloped in the sweet arms of darkness once more.

Amber heard the sounds of elemental magic and talking in the distance. Who could possibly be doing magic? And if so why hadn't they freed everyone? She desperately tried once more to escape her ropes and gag but it was useless. She was stuck.

Sami came to a few minutes later. Her head still hurt, and her body felt like lead.
"-ey. Hey! Sami, are you with me?" Anna's face came into focus above her.
"Anna?"
"Yeah, come on, we have to find everyone else."
Anna slung Sami's arm over her shoulder and helped her limp towards the other cells. She shined the light in the nearest cell. Ariane was in there, gag recently put in her mouth. She narrowed her eyes at Sami. Damn it She though. Maybe they'll hang me even if we don't tell Kira.

Sami watched as Anna quickly freed Ariane. The girl stood up and rubbed at the rope burns on her wrists. Sami looked at the floor and used the wall and the bars to keep herself upright as they continued onto the next cell, which held Michael, they freed him too and quickly moved on to the next and final cell, which held Amber. Anna picked the lock and they rushed in to help her. She yanked the gag out of her mouth. Now that they had everyone in the general vicinity, all four of them shot Sami different looks. Awe, skepticism, horror, fury, suspicion, curiosity. It was all there. Nobody spoke. Until-
