Jace nodded silently and hopped into the car with difficulty, proving his rather small frame. By the documents, it stated that Jace was six, yet Jace was short and skinny.

Kikuchi buckled the small child in and got into the driver’s seat. She texted her husband, ‘Darius make sure 2 have a good meal when we get home! :)’ then started to drive home.
Jace twirled his fingers together, feeling nervous. What will my life be like now? Surely not what it was… then.
When they got home, Kikuchi opened the door for Jace. She unbuckled him and led him inside. It smelled delicious, “Darius must be making supper right now, would you like to meet him?”
Jace looked around her home and once he registered his question, he turned his wide eyes on her. He nodded unsurely after a few moments.
Kikuchi gently grabbed Jace’s hand and led him to the kitchen, “Darius! Meet Jace!”
Darius looked over at the two and smiled, “Why hello there, Jace was it? I’m your dad!” Darius grinned.
(Btw, Darius is 5’7, a very muscular build, dark skin, shaved curly black hair, and brown eyes)
(Okay, thanks. ^~^)
Jace looked frightened for a few moments. He wanted to flee, but something told him it was better than that orphanage.
Jace nodded a little at Darius' question and smiled back weakly. "Hello," he answered politely.
Darius looked at the boy, “You’re a small boy, well, l’ll have to change that, eh?” Darius grinned and smiled, turning back to his cooking.
“While you’re doing that, I’ll get Jace dressed. Would you like some new clothes?” Kikuchi asked with a smile.
Jace looked down at his raggedy clothes. He bit his lip and nodded slowly. "Yes, please."
“I think I have some clothes that’ll fit you, but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get clothes of your choice, but are these ok for now?” Kikuchi held up a light purple shirt and some jeans.
Jace looked at them. "Yeah, that's okay." He took the shirt, looking unsure but thankful nevertheless.
I feel like I’m really bad at this, I’m sorry :P//
“Don’t worry! You can pick your own clothes tomorrow. Here, you can change in here,” Kikuchi led him to the bathroom.
(Das okay! You're not bad at all!)
Jace nodded and followed her, then stumbled over his duck-feet and plomped gently onto the ground.
Oh no what do I do I can’t mother gahhhh!!//
Kikuchi turned around, “Are you ok?” she asked, holding out a hand to help him get up.
(Oh come onnn you're much better than what I can be.)
Jace stood shakily on his own and stared unsurely at her outstretched hand, clearly confused.
"Um… I'm okay." He nodded.
Ahhsbelfnssph okie//
Kikuchi nodded and opened the bathroom door, “You can change in here, if you need any help just call me, ok?” she smiled.
Jace nodded and nubbed into the room. He changed into the clothes, and even they were baggy on him. He didn't care so much, they were a lot more comfortable than the scrubs he had on, and walked out of the bathroom, holding his sweater and jeans.
“Do you want to see your new bedroom?” Kikuchi asked with a smile. She gently grabbed Jace’s old clothes.
Jace smiled unsurely and nodded. "I'm going to have a bedroom?" He squeaked the question.
(Bump)
Carp I thought I had a reply on here! Sorry!//
Kikuchi nodded, “Yeah, follow me!” she smiled and gently held Jace’s hand as she led him to his bedroom.
(Das okay!)
Jace swallowed, stumbling gently over his feet occasionally yet pulled to a stop when they stood in his new bedroom. It was bigger, a lot more elaborate, and simply much better than what he was expecting.
"Uh…" He looked around the room. "Are you sure this is my room?"
Kikuchi nodded, “Yup! Our bedroom is right across the hall, so if you ever need anything during the night, let’s us know!” she smiled.
Jace blinked. "What… what would I need during the night?" He turned his wide-eyed gaze on her.
Kikuchi shrugged, “Maybe you wake up because of a nightmare, or maybe you wet the bed, or maybe you need a drink- really, anything. It just depends on the person,” she explained.
Jace suddenly looked afraid. "But I can't wet the bed. She said I can't."
“Who said you couldn’t?” Kikuchi asked, squatting down to be eye level with Jace.
"The scary man that follows me around! You can't see him?" Jace looked over his shoulder and pointed to the bed.
Carp carp carp what now?!?! Uhhhhh….. GOOGLE HELP ME//
Kikuchi looked at the empty bed and shook her head, “I can’t see him, what does he look like?”
(Google? What's wrong?)
Jace blinked up at her. "He's scary. He says that he knows me really well and that I might be related to him." He shivered. "But I don't wanna be related to him!"
