"And that is why we're friends."
"And that is why we're friends."
(At Jessie's place. Just knock on the door, I'll have Jess answer.)
"Yay friendship!" "Guys, shhh." Lexa hissed.
Darren and Ryan walked up to the door and froze. “You knock,” “No you knock.” “It’s your turn I did it last time!” “No it’s your turn remember?!” “Bullshit!” “Don’t bullshit me!” The boys fought quietly outside the door.
Jessie heard them and opened the door, clearing her throat. "You two looking for someone?" She chuckled.
Both the boys heads shot up, “Belle,” “Lillian,” they said at the same time.
"Ah, two of my favorites. Come on in, I'll grab them for you." She walked to the bottom of the stairs. "Belle, Lillian, your dates are here." "Coming!" She turned to Lillian. "You ready?"
Lillian was quietly giggling from the top of the stairs. God they were both stupidly adorable, "Ready as I'll ever be."
"Let's go, I guess." She giggled, starting down the stairs, head high and confident.
(I want to cry when I listen to the song when I was your man by Bruno Mars… is that normal? Maybe I’m actually a girl…)
Lillian walked down after her. Not quite as confident having one hand on her other arm. She was nervous okay?
(Nah it makes me wanna cry sometimes too I think it's normal.)
The boys readjusted their suits and waited patiently for the girls.
Darren smiled, noticing the arm he stepped forward. He recognized that.
She stepped onto the landing, revealing themselves to the other two. "Made it without tripping, one point for me." She muttered under her breath.
Ryan burst into laughter, “Did you expect to fall?” He said walking over to her. Maybe they thought he was crazy because he might have been the only one who heard her.
Lillian smiled a little and made eye contact with Darren, "Hey."
"Little bit, yes! It's not my fault I'm not used to being 2 inches taller." She huffed, a small grin pulling at her lips.
Lillian smiled a little and made eye contact with Darren, "Hey."
“You look… Wow,” he smiled, she had no need to be so nervous.
"Little bit, yes! It's not my fault I'm not used to being 2 inches taller." She huffed, a small grin pulling at her lips.
“Hey. That’s tall,” he laughed, “I’m gonna have to get used to that,”
(whispers why am I listening to it on repeat. Why though?)
Lillian felt her hand relax, "Really? I wasn't, um, sure."
"I'm still like two inches shorter than you, so shush." She giggled.
Lillian felt her hand relax, "Really? I wasn't, um, sure."
“No, you look incredible,” he grabbed her hand to pull her closer.
Lillian was full on smiling. Her nervousness pushed away, "Thanks. Not too bad yourself."
"I'm still like two inches shorter than you, so shush." She giggled.
“I love my short little bean,”he grinned.
"Don't judge me. It's not my fault I'm short." She pouted like a child. "Can't really do this for too long without ruining my lipstick but I'm trying."
Lillian was full on smiling. Her nervousness pushed away, "Thanks. Not too bad yourself."
“Thanks I try,” his suit was clearly fitted, he figured it was worth the extra money and it made him look bigger plus he had been working out more so he could be more than cancer boy in front of the people from school.
"Don't judge me. It's not my fault I'm short." She pouted like a child. "Can't really do this for too long without ruining my lipstick but I'm trying."
“You’re beautiful,” he looked her up and down. “As usual.”
"Was it worth the wait?" She smiled a little.
