Alexander slipped into the warm bath after being undressed and washed himself. After he was finished he wore a new pair of clothes and gave the previous ones to the maids. He then left his room in search of his children.

Ophelia heard footsteps approaching and turned her head. "Oh! Father! How are you?" She closed her sketchbook and stood up, brushing some dust off of her dress.

The king walked to a place he knew his daughter Ophelia would be. As he smelled the fresh air his eyes set on a girl underneath the weeping willow in the courtyard. Putting a smile on his face he walked towards the person who's concentration was focused on her sketchpad.
"Hello Ophelia." He said once he arrived next to her.

"Me?" Alexander chuckled "Fine i've just the usual, the boring politics and then training what about you?. I hope you haven't been here for the whole day?" He said slightly worried

"Not the whole day." Ophelia laughed. "I did some training earlier, studied in the library, and visited the town square. I have been here a little while, though."

"Good" Alexander breathed a sigh of relief."So what has my lovely daughter been doing here?"

"I've been drawing, father. I find it very peaceful under the willow; it clears my mind and helps me relax. When was it planted?"

Alexander sighed while rubbing his face.
"It's been a few centuries, Your great great great great Grandfather Magnus planted this to commemorate the victory of one of the many wars between the two kingdoms."

"Fascinating… so it's hundreds of years old? How long do willow trees last?" Ophelia ran her fingers across the tree's bark thoughtfully.

Alexander shrugged.
"I don't know but it should still live for much more time."

"It was blessed increasing it's lifespan from 75 years." Alexander said to explain the unsual lifespan of this particular tree.

"So probably for my lifetime and perhaps my children's as well?" Ophelia looked up at her father hopefully.

Onyx and Nyx walked out of he library and to the tree where theyknew their sister liked to go too, they saw their father and sister and walked over there

Evelin was perched on the highest branches of the tree, her body curled back in the dark shadows. She waited patiently for the princess to leave, but then cursed under her breath when she saw Onyx and Nyx walk out of the library.

"Onyx! Nyx! How are you?" Ophelia looked up as her brothers approached, one hand still upon the bark of the willow.

"hey Opes" Onyx said
"hi Opes, how are you?" Nyx asked

"I'm well, and you?" Ophelia looked over at the horizon, which was blossoming into a golden red sunset.

"good" Onnie said "Nyxie pulled me out of the library" he grumbles
