17 years ago today, we lost almost 3000 of our fellow Americans. Some were EMS personnel, some were firefighters, and many were simply ordinary people coming together to help their countrymen. take the story of Welles Crowther who made several trips back-and-forth to help save people in the towers. he is said to have saved at least a dozen lives that day. But his own was lost.
or take the story of the heroes of United flight 93 who realized what was happening and stormed the cockpit forcing the terrorists to abort their diabolical mission. or take the heroic story of Dave corns and Jason Thomas who both abandon their jobs and sped towards the towers hundreds/thousands of miles away to help with the rescue effort. but
these three stories are only the top of the pile of many stories of Americans helping Americans and people coming together to help a city in need.
