Matrix's eyes land on a photograph case thing. It had metals and a flag in it. It also showed who he presumed to be the human in uniform. He reach out and runs his fingers over the glass of the picture, "He is a soldier?"

If Corbin had seen the photo that Matrix had been looking at, he would have been able to say exactly when it had been taken. The photo was taken when he first went to the base at Afghanistan. He looked a bit younger, and had a bright, excited smile on his lips. He had been so excited then, eager to serve his country.
Matrix stares sadly at the photo. Hell he didnt even know the human's name and he felt sorry for him. In the picture he looked so exited. The demon was now a bit drawn to the human, What had happened to him?
Corbin picked up his razor and shaving cream, spreading a bit along his jaw and lower cheeks. He ran the blade along his skin, carefully shaving off the stubble. He had never kept any facial hair such as a stubble or beard long, thinking that he looked better with a smooth face.
Matrix sighs. He reaches up and un-hooks the display from the wall. He sits down cross-legged under where it was once hinged.
He opens the back as carefully as possible and flips it over. The metals shine in the light from the window. He runs his thumb along one that was small but looked important.
There were a few different things in the case. There was a set of dog tags, his name and other information listed on it, a US Navy Seals badge, and the Navy Cross. He remembered that ceremony to earn those. It was supposed to be exciting, something that a soldier would be excited to recieve. But instead of a nice ceremony, they were given to him while he was in a hospital bed.
(Oh jeez… That is sad)
Matrix pulls out the dog tags and squints at them. His eyes where bugging slightly so he couldnt see what was written on them in the dark. He puts all the stuff in an arc around him and starts with the metals. He holds up each artifact and examines them to the best of his ability. He gently replaces them as well onthe ground in the arc
(Yeah, it’s pretty depressing stuff.)
Corbin finished shaving, washing his face off with water before drying it on a towel. He stepped out of his bathroom, watching Orion whine in front of the shut door. He gave a huff, opening the door to let him out. Orion padded down the hall and into the living room, where he gave Matrix a small bark.
Matrix jumped so hard that the dog-tags fell from his and with loud thunks and clangs, "God damn it! DOnt do that!" He clutches at the pulsating molten mass of a heart.
Corbin heard a thump and Matrix yell. Orion gave a yelp at the noise of the metals hitting the floor, and Corbin’s eyes widened. He assumed that Martix had hurt his dog or something. He didn’t bother throwing on a shirt, going down the hall as quickly as he was able to, having to put a hand on the wall at how heavy his limp got. He saw that Orion was fine, but Matrix was on the floor with his dog tags and badges. “Don’t touch those!” He snapped sharply.
"Ah! Geesus!!" Matrix jumps again and stands. The human's dogtags where still clutched in his fist, "Your name is Corban. You where in the army?" He had been using the light from his heart to read the metals and dogtags. His own shirt was open for that.
Corbin frowned heavily at that, looking over at the dog tags. “Navy Seals, now come on, give that to me,” He said, holding his hand out for his dog tags. He didn’t like thinking about it, he didn’t want to think about it either.
Matrix pulls it away slightly, "What happened." He snaps
“You don’t need to know what happened, it doesn’t matter,” Corbin hissed, his hand still held out. Why would Matrix care about anything that had happened to him in Afghanistan?
"Yes it does. If it concerns your health." Matrix held the dogtags up above Corban's hand but doesnt give them to him
“And how does my health concern you?” Corbin questioned further. He frowned heavily at Matrix, eyes narrowing at the dog tags. He reached out, moving to snatch them away.
Matrix jerks them away, "You wont make it very far with that injury. Even with that dog to help slightly." MAtrix actually really loved that dog even though it didnt like him very much. He un hitches the dog tags
“Make it far…” Corbin mumbled to himself before shaking his head. “I have nothing to worry about, I’m staying right here. I’m perfectly healthy these days,” he argued.
"You arent… I saw the medications in the bathroom (If he has any)." Matrix puts the dog tags around his own neck. The fell just above the molten light of the 'heart'
(He does)
“That’s.. That’s not for my physical health. That’s for my PTSD. I was a soldier, of course I’m going to medicate,” Corbin said. His jaw clenched tightly when Matrix put on the dog tags. To him, it was something like disrespect. He had no right to be wearing something that sacred.
Matrix shrugs, "That just proves my point." He could feel the metal of the dog-tags growing hot near his 'heart'
“Don’t do anything to those,” Corbin snapped, referring to the dog tags. “You have no right to be wearing those,” he added, his voice just as sharp.
"Oh? Then come get them." He challenges to prove a point.
Corbin glared sharply at Matrix for a moment before looking over at Orion. He gave two short, sharp whistles, and the dog was suddenly alert, his ears up. He began to growl, looking to Corbin in a waiting manner. He motioned to Matrix, and the dog was suddenly up, his teeth bared as he was suddenly knocking Matrix over. Corbin simply watched as the dog barked and snapped at Matrix’s face, never actually biting him, though.
Matrix falls to the ground. His teeth bared at the dog. His snarls where just as loud and demanding as his, "Get off. Dog!" He bites at the dogs ear which is a move of dominance in dogs (It really is. Sorry if that's a bit far. I would never actually hurt le daggo)
(It’s all good!)
Orion growled, snapping at Matrix’s face again, coming close to his nose. Corbin gave two quick whistled again, and Orion got off of him. But that didn’t last long, because he was quickly taking the dogs place, pinning Matrix down with his hands squeezing the demon’s neck.
Matrix chokes. His hands reach up to grab onto Corban's neck as well. The molten 'heart' pulsates then seems to grow darker. Threads of it seem to run up his neck through his veins and gleam under the human's fingers as they fade slightly. Matrix coughs and red hot stuff dribbles down his chin (It's another side effect to having his condition)
Corbin had the urge to keep strangling Matrix and just kill him already. Matrix was such a menace, and had caused him so much difficulty. But something in him told him to stop, and after a moment longer he did. He got up, but not before pulling the dog tags off of Matrix. He stood up, collecting his other badges as he breathed heavily, adrenaline running through him.
Matrix sits up slightly, leaning on his elbows. He coughs and more molten seeps from his mouth onto the floor where it singed a hole right through it. He holds his neck where his veins where still glowing, "Why'd you stop?"
“Shut up, and don’t touch my stuff,” Corbin grumbled, putting the things away before he stepped towards the hall. He looked over at Matrix, sighing as he shook his head slowly and limped down the hall to his bedroom.
