Elise was still sleeping, a content smile on her face - weary from everything that had happened in the past two days.
Havenwood hugged her close and stroked her jaw lovingly. She's so… peaceful when she's asleep.
(compared to when she's awake raging ball of fire? Also I don't know how to respond to rp's when my character is sleeping so…)
(Just have her wake up, since Havenwood is actively touching her face.)
(hmmmm alrighty)
Elise's eyes fluttered open to Havenwood's face close to hers. "Hello." The smile of sleep wasn't as peaceful as it had been - almost as if she changed into a different person when awake.
Havenwood noticed the change with a slight frown but decided not to question it.
"Afternoon." He smiled and continued tracing circles on her face.
"What time is it?" She asked, closing her eyes but staying awake.
"By the looks of it, twelve?" Havenwood glanced outside.
"Ah, crap. How late did we stay up last night?" Elise mumbled, still tired, if that was possible.
"I dunno. It was fun, though." He pulled his hand away from her face and relaxed into the bed again.
"True." Elise moaned. "I haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday." She forced herself out of bed, shaking her hair, which had somehow kept from tangling too much.
Havenwood watched her get out of bed. He, soon, followed suit. "I suppose you're hungry, then."
"I can get something. But you know the kitchen better than I do." Elise's too-big sweatshirt hid her hands, making her look a bit like a grumpy, desolate shroud.
Havenwood nudged her gently out of his room. "Just sit down you grumpy little cherub. I'll whip something up."
Elise smiled gratefully and sank onto the couch, its sudden chill making her pull her arms close to her body in cold.
Havenwood rolled his eyes as he turned to the kitchen's ice-box to pull a fresh morsel of meat. Thank goodness Elise isn't vegetarian.
"Do you even eat any plants around here? I haven't eaten something green since…well, actually, I didn't eat anything like that in the city, either, so that would be…" Elise looked up, then back to Havenwood in surprise. "I actually don't remember eating anything that grew out of the ground in my entire life. Ever."
Havenwood cast her a look over his shoulder. "I can get you some corn if you'd like. Maybe for lunch."
"Yes, please. I wonder what it tastes like…" Elise moves to her own thoughts, staring at the wall.
"It's pretty good," Havenwood assured as he chopped the head off of a pheasant.
Elise snapped back to Havenwood. "Sorry, what did you say?" Don't zone out like that! It's weird! She thought to herself, but it had become habit as there weren't usually many people she talked to in the city.
"Oh? I was just saying that corn is okay." He plucked a feather off of the ground. "Do you want a feather?"
"Sure, why not." She took it and began to separate the barbs and curl each around her finger.
Havenwood took a second once he was done and tucked it behind her ear.
The barbs whisked against Elise's face, but she didn't protest, instead smiled at him.
(gtg to get hamburgas)
(Oki)
Havenwood smiled back and walked back over to the pheasant. He extracted the breast and the legs then started cooking them.
Elise sighed. What is my life now? The questions hadn't occurred to her until just now. It was a question long overdue.
Havenwood hummed gently as the meat cooked. He flicked the dirt from out of his fingernails and looked around idly.
Seriously, kid. You gotta get your life in order, yo! You're in love with a Greek God, you're friends with Athena, enemies with another, making guns for a fourth, and am promptly living luxury. What the crap happened, yo? She thought.
Havenwood yawned widely, stretching out along the wall, unaware of what she was thinking about.
