"But he did." She replied in a singsongy voice, finally stopping in front of a little white building. She stood outside the door, catching her breath for a minute before walking inside. "Hey hey, I'm here!" "Miss Adams! Miss Adams!" About 10 squealing children attacked her legs, knocking her over. An older girl stood near the back, watching the scenario with an amused smirk.
Ryanâs face grew into a gleeful smile, kids, joy. Yesss.
She laughed, slowly sitting up and getting tackled again with hugs from the kids. They were very young, ranging from about 6 to 9.
Ryan just laughed, little people are the best.
"You know, you could help me out instead of just leaving me to drown you two!" She giggled from her spot on the floor.
âAw but this is so much funnier,â
She shot him a playful glare as the older girl walked over and started peeling kids off. "Alright alright, that's enough, let her up." They slowly backed off except for one little girl. She had curly brown hair and sparkling brown eyes with a smattering of freckles across her face. "That means you too, Danielle." Belle pet her hair. The girl pouted but got off.
Ryan held out a hand to help Belle off the ground.
She accepted it gratefully, pulling herself to her feet. "Oh! Ryan, this is Miranda. Mandy, this is my fiance Ryan." She gestured to the other girl. She had deep blue eyes and dark brown hair. She smiled warmly. "Hey."
Ryan froze, staring at Mandy for a moment before responding, âHey, Iâm Ryan,â
"Okay! Now that I'm here let's get this started. Everyone gather around the piano!" There were a few basic keyboards set up in rows and in the back of the room was a classic grand piano with a rug beside it for the kids to sit on. They scrambled to their spots while she slid onto the piano bench. "Good morning everyone." "Good morning Miss Adams." They all responded in unison. "Alright. Now, as we do every time we meet, we will have Miss Mandy pick a song for me to play." Miranda thought for a second before grinning wickedly. "You from A Great Big World." She sighed. "Whyyyyy?" "Because it's pretty!" "Ugh. Fine." She reluctantly turned to the keys, took a deep breath and began playing the song, singing with it.
(LISTEN TO IT IT IS ONE OF THE PRETTIEST SONGS I'VE EVER HEARD.)
(A great big world is my life)
(This is the only song I've ever heard from it and you can thank Thomas Sanders' Instagram for that.)
(Lol, a great big word has some amazing songs and I think youâve heard more than one)
(SAY SOMETHING IM GIVING UP ON YOU)
(Well that's the only song I've heard from it that I know is from it.)
Ryan sat away from everyone else so he could observe silently.
There was a small portion of the song that was just voice and no music which is the part that she always struggled with but she somewhat nailed it flawlessly. She finished the song and the room erupted into applause.
Ryan clapped loudly before quieting in fear of being noticed in his hiding.
She glared at Miranda. "I hate you." "You sounded great!" "That song was hard to do when I was actually good at piano! I haven't played in how long? Now I just sound rusty."
Ryan laughed quietly, more of a low chuckle.
"Alright let's do one you actually like. Sam Tsui." "Please tell me you mean the one I'm thinking of." "That I do." "Yes!" She cheered, starting this song with a much better attitude.
Ryan leaned forward to listen closely, he wasnât sure he knew this songâŚ
"Boy you poisoned him? Hope you don't go and poison me now."
âLike I said, I donât value your secrets and I poisoned Balthazar before Darren had so much control.â
"Why are you like this Cooper? Why?"
âBalthazar was being an ass, itâs nothing a little truth serum couldnât fix,â he shrugged.
Lillian chuckled lightly, "Why the fuck would you give someone a truth serum?"
This one was one of her personal favorites to play. She had long since memorized both the music and the lyrics by heart so she could play it flawlessly without even thinking.

âTo know the truth⌠duh,â
Ryan smiled, everyday was a constant reminder of her talent that she couldnât even see.
