Yes but I asked him to state his opinion and the only reason he continued was because no one else stopped, he was defending himself.

he could of worded it differently
or possibly not say anything because he knew it would offend people

Okay listen, I respect his opinion about homoromanticism and stuff. I have a friend like that. Darren, I still love ya like a friend and I'm glad that your speaking up for him. But my one problem is that it is not a choice. There is scientific evidence that it is not a choice. So he has his opinion with God and all that stuff, just know there is evidence backing that it is not a choice.

Okay, I was the one who started the argument, maybe that was wrong of me but the don't be mad at Neal, be mad at me. I'm sorry guys, I didn't mean for this to happen but I'm just going to leave.

I think we've all made mistakes.
I cannot apologize on the part of anyone else, but I can apologize for mine. I'm sorry for arguing with you, Neal. I understand that you have a differing opinion, and I actually held the same one about 4 years ago. My opinion has changed because of a lot of research I did, and circumstances in my life that opened my eyes and my mind to the LGBT community. I was trying to teach you and share what I had learned because I found I was much happier when I wasn't disagreeing with a fundamental aspect of someone's identity, and when I understood things so much better. I'm sorry I got so fired up. My emotions are high recently because I've been in a really bad depressive episode.
You are welcome to hold your opinion. I just ask that going forward you refrain from sharing it in a safe space where we talk about being LGBTQ+ and our struggles frequently. If you find these conversations distasteful, feel free to refrain from participating in the conversation until we're done talking about it. I want you to be comfortable here, just as I want to be comfortable here and want all my friends here, straight, gay, bi, or otherwise, to feel comfortable as well.
Thank you for understanding and hopefully for accepting my heartfelt apology for arguing with you and getting so frustrated so fast.
