Harley stood on his feet again and shook his head, “Nope, have you?”
“Nope, I want one with a hammock not a bed.” She said climbing down
Harley stood on his feet again and shook his head, “Nope, have you?”
“Nope, I want one with a hammock not a bed.” She said climbing down
“Me too!” Harley agreed, swinging from rope to rope, making his way down. He slid down one and landed.
She walked below deck and looked the rooms
(William: Gather the crew over here
The crew: walks anywhere else
Lol)
(Lucas is there with a fish that weighs almost as much as he does :D)
Harley ignored William, instead going to look at the rooms along with his sister.
“Get the crew over here,” William said again, “It’s important.” He started shuffling the tarrot cards. This was clearly a warning, he just didn’t know for what.
Simone just walked away from William, not wanting to be involved in whatever magic he was doing.
Aleena looked at him weirdly “no thanks bud.” And walked below deck
William frowned as he opened his eyes and no one was there. He stood up bitterly, “Fine then. I will leave you all for the sharks when we battle the demons. The spirits on spirit island will not help if you do not listen.” He shuffled his deck and drew a random card for the ship. It was death. “The spirits will not help,” He muttered quietly as he went to starboard to lean against the side of the ship, glaring at anyone who dared look his way.
(Sorry I disappeared, I was on a train for most of the day)
Ailith walked over, leaning against the ship next to him. "I heard you wanted to talk to the crew? What's this about?"
William showed Ailith the death card, “Spirits will not help if the crew doesn’t trust them. The spirits will not help if the crew does not believe in me being the passage between our two worlds.” William crossed his arms over his bare chest, his gold jewelry clinking together. He frowned.
"What're you talking about?" Lucas heaved the fish over to William, clutching the line tightly.
"So convince them." Ailith said simply. She'd be lying if she said the card didn't set her off, but she wasn't going to let it show. "I'll help you gather the crew. Give 'em a show to prove the spirits are real"
William showed the boy the card, “That means death. We will die without the spirits’ help.”
William’s frown didn’t leave his face, but he agreed, “Okay. We need the entire crew.”
"D-Death?" Lucas went pale, examining the card fearfully. He dropped his fish.
“My spirits do not lie, death awaits if we don’t trust in them. They give us strength to fight off demons, if we don’t trust that strength, if we don’t use it, we die.” William explained, but then felt bad. He didn’t want to scare the poor boy, “But if you trust in them, we have good chances of ridding the world of all bad demons.”
"Yeah," Ailith said to Lucas. "I guess, think of the spirits like weird siblings. "If you don't trust them, they won't trust you. If you aren't nice to them, they won't be nice to you. So we just have to respect them, and we'll be fine."
"How… how do we get them on our side?" I don't want to die! I don't want to go the same way as mom or Claus…
“The first step is to gather the crew. Can you help do that?” William asked the boy. Maybe the crew thought William crazy, but a scared boy? How could they say no?
Lucas nodded and went off to fetch other members of the crew. "Hello? Can you come to the deck? William says we've gotta have a meeting or the spirits are gonna kill us."
Ailith followed him. "Just tell them something on deck's on fire." she whispered into his ear. "It'll get them moving faster."
"But the deck isn't on fire, is it? Why would I tell them that it is?" Lucas cocked his head slightly to the side, confused.
"It'll make them run towards the deck." Ailith said. "They might not want to go see a magic show, but they'll go if they think the deck's on fire."
"Oh… um, everyone? The deck is apparently on fire, sooo…. make your way there as soon as possible, please."
Harley smirked. He sarcastically said, “Very convincing. You gotta work on your acting skills.” and went back to searching the rooms.
"Harley!" Lucas trotted after him, fear evident in his face. "William said that the spirits are gonna kill us if we don't do anything about it! Please come… I-I don't wanna die." He tugged on Harley's pants leg.
Harley sighed, “Fine,” he whined, “Aleena! We gotta go to the deck!” he called. He didn’t expect her to follow, and if she didn’t, that would be fine. At least then he could show Lucas how to act.
"Thank you!" Lucas hugged Harley's leg gratefully before grabbing his hand and going towards the deck. "Come on! Will told me to be quick."
