Feli watches her go, a small smile working it's way to her lips. Her roommate was cute, shy, and gentle. Feli liked that. The female lays down on the couch, humming in thought as she does so. She crosses her legs and looks up at the ceiling, her eyes scanning the lightly colored walls.
Kaitlin hummed a little tune to herself as she finished unpacking the last of her boxes. She didn’t have a lot of things, so her room was simple and organised. She folded the boxes down and sat them in the corner. She’d take them out to the trash later. Putting on one of her oversized jumps, she walked back into the living room.
At the moment, Feli was drawing, her hair falling around her face, hiding her eyes from view. She seemed to be drawing a girl and a little boy holding the girls hand as a dog sat beside the girls leg. Her scribbling stops and she shuts her sketchbook. "Hey. All settled?" She asks, looking up.
Kaitlin nodded, “Yeah, I just have to take a few boxes out to the trash but I’ll do it later.” She said, sitting on one of the couches and bringing her knees to her chest, resting her head on her knees as she looked at Feli.
Feli nods and sets her sketch book down. Her cold eyes glance towards the other. "So. Where'd you come from?"She asks curiously, raising her eyebrow a little, a habit when she was curious.
Kaitlin stiffened a little, “N-No where special.” She replied, trying a smile but failing, “What about you?” She asked.
"France." She says, cracking her neck as she looks boredly at the black tv. She leans back in her chair and gives a small sigh. She noticed the others weird behavior but ignored it.
“Oh, I’ve always wanted to go to France.” Kaitlin said, sighing through her nose, “H-How long have you lived her?” She asked.
"About a year." She says casually, "France is pretty and all, but I like it here." She says, shrugging a little.
“Hm, yeah… it’s not bad.” She said, glancing at the other for a few moments before back to her knees.
"You okay? You keep looking at me then back at your knees. I'm not that scary am I?" she asks, laughing a little bit. Feli rarely laughed, so this was rather new to her.
Kaitlin smiled, “N-No, you’re not scary. I guess it’s just out of habit…” She admitted, shrugging one shoulder.
She chuckles, "At least I'm not scary." She looks at the smaller female. So… cute… and sweet… NO! Stop it! None of that falling in love nonsense.
“Yeah, definitely not scary,” She stood from the couch and walked over to the kitchen, “Do you have any tea?” She asked, looking back over at Feli and cocked her head to the side in question.
Feli nods and stands, stretching a little. "Top shelf, left cabinet above the stove." She says nonchalantly.
Kaitlin nodded and found them, boiling the kettle and starting to make herself some tea. She hummed slightly to herself as she did so.
Feli goes back to drawing, her mind going to her younger brother and the mugging a few years ago… Her mind flashes to that time and her goes still, her book and pencil falling to the ground as she stares at nothing, but the flashback plays strong in her mind.
“Feli? Are you okay?” Kaitlin asked gently as she brought two cups of tea over and placed one in front of Feli and kept the other in her hands. Concern clouded her features as she looked at the other female.
Suddenly she breaks down. "It's all my fault…" she whimpers, clutching her head. "His death was my fault…"
Kaitlin placed her cup on the table, “Hey, Hey it’s okay. I’m sure it wasn’t you’re fault.” She said gently, sitting next to Feli, “It’s alright, you’ll be okay.”
Feli cries, her eyes clenched shut as the painful memories stab through her.
“Feliciana, can you look at me?” Kaitlin asked, gently removing the others hands from her head.
Feliciana looks up, her eyes watery and bloodshot. She sniffles softly, gazing at the other with pure pain and anguish in her eyes.
“You’re going to be okay. I’m sure whatever it was wasn’t you’re fault, alright?” Kaitlin gave her a reassuring smile.
Feli bites her lip and shakes her head, "You… you don't understand…" she whispers, sniffling a little bit. "I could save him…"
Kaitlin blinked, “Don’t think about it. Try not to think about it. I-I might not know what’s going on but… you’ll be fine.”
Feli shakes her head, resting it on Katies shoulder. "H-he's dead because of me…" she whispers.
Katie rested her head on top of Feli’s, “Who’s dead because of you?” She asked quietly
"My brother…" she sobs, "It's his anniversary…" Feli starts to mutter soft things under her breath.
“Oh, d-does He have a grave you can visit?” She asked.
