It had been a few hours and Uriah came back from visiting Zhavia's grave. He handed his horse to someone that was outside. "Mind taking him to the stables?" The boy nodded and walked off. Uriah was surprised at how much he actually talked to a dead person. He would always feel a bit sad, but he felt more relaxed, he accepted she was gone and there was nothing he could do that. When he walked inside he saw Cy walking and followed him. "Where are you going?"
Cyrus' eyes widened a little bit as he went.
"Luna's back… I don't know how, but she is. I'm just getting her something to eat. She's with Sparrow right now."
"I'll walk with you." Uriah was almost as tall as Cyrus, but not quite. He has accepted that he was always going to be smaller than Cy. "Did you and Sparrow talk?" He thought he would go with him since he was hungry as well.
"I mean, yeah," Cyrus said, keeping stride with Uriah, "We also sparred a bit, and I won for once in my life. But I think I know what you're asking, and the answer is no… We're not… we're not together or anything. We didn't talk about that. Quite frankly, I'm afraid to."
(lmao he basically just ended up as who I feel like my son would be. He's not me, but he's not exactly far off either.)
"Ah, I see." Uriah looked to the ground. He still felt extremely bad for what happened a year ago. It was loneliness and sadness that took over a year ago. Losing Zhavia was the hardest thing he's ever gone through. "Is there anything I can help with around here?" He didn't like just sitting around doing nothing.
"Not at the moment. We could always use extra hands for training, though," Cyrus said. He paused for a second, then took a breath. "Has Sparrow ever really talked about me? If it's safe to make a move, I might. If not… I'll hold off for now. I'm just scared, Uriah. I already hurt her once, and I was hurting myself too by rejecting her. But I've changed. I've grown a good bit. I think perhaps things could work this time."
(Shade your name is too damn long!!)
Sparrow looked at Luna and studied the other girl. Her hair was shorter, and she seemed thinner. Finishing the last of the water in her bottle, she started to take off the tape from her hands
(Lol, it'll be shorter by Sunday.)
(It's just for the twelve days of chrisma.)
Luna had pulled her hood back and pulled her bow off from her back. She had been out in the woods training for the past 3 months. She would've come to the guild, but the moment she tried her body froze and by sheer instinct ran away. It had taken her a long time to finally come in, and now she couldn't relax even with her old friends.
"Do you want to exchange your bow for a new one?" She asked Luna, still peeling the tape
"That would b-be great. Mine feels like it's about to break," Luna responded looking at Sparrow.
Sparrow nodded and looked around for a person. Upon seeing someone, she waved them closer and asked them to bring in a few Bows from storage.
Luna eyes tracked the person, a wariness held within. Even though she knew she was perfectly safe.
The person went and brought out a few simple metal wood hybrid bows. She looked at them and made a disgusted face "these look very tacky." She started and looked at Luna
Luna studied the bows, none of them were any good. She shook her head as if to say no. She was afraid if she opened her mouth nothing would come out.
"Do you want to see some designs that me and Eira made while we were still with Panther?" She asked
Luna froze slightly as her eyes widened. She could feel her heart begin pounding in her chest as she quickly nodded her head. If Eira and Sparrow designed them they were bound to be good.
Wincing as she stood up, sparrow gestured to Luna "Cyrus showed me where my old stuff was and I saw a few old designs there too." She said
Luna popped up quickly, adrenaline seemed to be pumping through her at the moment. She nodded again and put her hood back up.
They walked down to where Cyrus showed her, her trunk. She propped it open again and took out a few designs.
Luna slowly felt her body unwind as the adrenaline. She hovered over Sparrow's shoulder looking at the different designs.
"Sparrow has been through a lot this past year, so maybe give her a bit of time to adjust." Moving to fast might put to much pressure on her. Uriah still cared deeply for Sparrow, although they decided to just be friends didn't mean he cared any less. He might just be a bit overprotective of her. "So give it a bit then you can make your move." With them just coming back and Luna's return, it was even to much for Uriah to handle right now.
"I won't act right away," Cyrus promised, "Hell, maybe not at all if I can't figure things out first. I'm not sure… we've all got a lot on our plate."
Cyrus grabbed a sandwich and some fruits and vegetables for Luna, then two bottles of water once they reached the mess hall. He sighed a little.
"How are you, though? I haven't had a moment alone with you to just catch up since you got back."
"Ah, if I'm honest I'm not sure how I'm doing." Uriah also grabbed a sandwich and a peach to eat, then a bottle of water. "Even though I've known everyone for awhile, I'm still the new guy. I feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed here I guess." He shoved something that was in his pocket deeper down. "I'm not an assassin like everyone else here."
