"Great!" Cally said. She looked at the garden for another moment before turning back to Andion. "Can we make my garden look like this one?"
"Great!" Cally said. She looked at the garden for another moment before turning back to Andion. "Can we make my garden look like this one?"
Andion shrugged, “Whatever you want to do, I can help with I guess.”
"You better." Cally teased. "I could stay here forever. Or is there something else you wanted to show me?"
“You’ve seen the areas we can go to without getting caught, so it depends if you want to go back to the house or stay here.” Andion replied.
"What do you want to do?" Cally asked, "this is your home, after all."
“There is one more place I want to show you.” Andion said, a small smile on her face.
Cally squeezed Andion's hand, her eyes alight with excitement. "Let's go!"
Andion led Calky through the rest of the garden, the houses started to dwindle our and soon grassy plains started to come into view. Mountains loomed in the distance and a glistening river ran through the plains, “Have you ever seen a ghost leopard before?” Andion asked as they walked.
"No," Cally said, curious. "What is it?"
“Giant cats, as white as snow and live up in those mountains. If we’re lucky we’ll see them.” She explained.
Cally looked around at the mountains. "Have you ever seen them?"
Andion nodded, “I have, and I’m sure you’ll be able to see them today.”
Cally nodded. She pointed up at something moving along the snowy mountains. "Is that one?" She asked, unable to keep the excitement out of her voice.
Andion smiled, “It is. Let’s get closer.” She took Cally’s hand and led them closer to the mountains. More leopards started to come into view the closer they got.
Cally gasped. "They're beautiful!" She said, looking quickly from Andion and back to the leopards.
“You know… the only people who’ve seen these creature this closer are me, the Queen and her lover and now you.” Andion said.
"Really?" Cally asked, this time not daring to look away.
“Really. You’re the fourth person to see them.” Andion said, looking at Cally.
"Does that mean we're making history or something?" Cally asked breathlessly.
Andion shrugged and out her hands in her pockets, “I guess so. You’re the first human to see them so yes, history in the making.”
"Woah." Cally looked awestruck. "Why haven't more witches seen them? They're majestic!"
“They don’t know they exist or are to busy with work that they cannot come out here.” She explained.
"How did you hear about them?" Cally asked.
“I sunk into one of the Queens meetings,” She said with a sly grin.
"You rebel!" Cally said, grinning back. "How did they not notice?"
Andion rocked back in her heels, “When good ‘Ol Queenie is focused on something, lots of things get past her. Hiding up into the banisters was a good start and Ryker was with her so Queenie was focused on her.”
"Aren't you supposed to, I don't know, respect your queen?" Cally asked, her smile never wavering.
Andion shrugged, “Eh, I do. Most of the time anyway.”
Cally looked at her curiously. "Is she a good queen?"
Again, Andion shrugged, “Not the worst I’ve encountered.”
