Seth nods, "Go ahead. I'll stay here." he mutters a small curse and takes a breath. "Take your time."
Seth nods, "Go ahead. I'll stay here." he mutters a small curse and takes a breath. "Take your time."
"Will do, Seth," Zackary purred huskily as he carried a very confused Jace away.
Seth nods, before taking a breath, watching them leave. "Alright. Show yourself." he summons his bone scythe, watching as two demons appear. He growls under his breath.
Zackary hastily walked into the bathroom at the end of the hall and walked into a stall.
"Do you have to go to the bathroom?" Zackary asked as he let Jace down and peered out the door's crack.
Seth looks at them. "What's your business." He hisses, glancing at the demons. "Your father is displeased." the one on the right says. "My father is always displeased." He answers.
Jace shook his head. "No. Why are we in here?" He wandered up so he was next to his father; Jace only came up to Zackary's mid-thigh.
"Well, more than usual, since his only heir has decided to lower himself among humans and… Halfbloods." The demon spits. "Enough talk. We were sent to kill you, along with the half breed." The other demon sneers. "Bring it." Seth growls.
Zackary allowed his large wings to unfurl and snap out from his sides. (I forget if I described them already so I'll do it again) They were so large and powerful they made large dents into the stalls of the bathroom doors (he and Jace were in the handicap stall), they were large and angelic as well as black and shimmery.
Seth raises his scythe, watching the other demon carefully. He lunges, meeting the other demons half way. He shrieks when the other stabs him in the side. He stumbles back, supporting the wound. Not even a minute in and he was already bleeding. Had he really gone soft?
Zackary's ears, which were yearning for noise, picked up the distant shriek and lifted up Jace. He fit his wings out of the doors (the stall and bathroom) standing in his way, and out into the heated hallway, then down to the source of the noise.
He raises his scythe and attacks the other demon, his mind going hazy.
Zackary peered around a corner and sat down Jace, who was just so confused.
"Stay here, okay?"
Jace nodded and put his hand up to his mouth. "Don't get hurt, Daddy."
Zackary nodded briefly and swung around the corner and along the wall.
Seth gives a feral growl, hissing under his breath. He was in so much pain at the moment, but he kept fighting.
Zackary ducked behind a sign and squinted at one of the demons. He tucked his legs up below him and sprung onto his back, digging his overlong nails into his neck and squeezing his weight onto his victim's neck.
The demon chokes, hissing as he's thrown away. Seth's eyes go wide,"Thanks."
Zackary fought the demon to the ground and jerked the demon's head to the side, snapping their neck. Zackary rose and looked around. "Where's the other?"
Seth grunts as he's attacked from behind. He whips his scythe into the air and attacks back, hissing in pain. He was covered in bruises, and really bad cuts.
Zackary's eyes widen and he ran over to assist, by using the same neck grip, but at the danger of hurting Seth more. Zackary tugged on the other demon's neck, trying to rip him off of Seth, while in the process, stemming off his air supply.
Seth throws the demon off, stumbling before collapsing, completely out from blood loss.
Zackary squawked as he barely released the demon. He ran over to where the other demon fell (not Seth, to be clear) and finished him off with a strong crack of his wings.
He straightened up, stretching, before realizing Seth was out cold and ran over. "Jace!" He called for his son, who scrambled over. "Get on my back, buddy."
Jace nodded through tears and clambered on, then shoved his face into Zackary's hair, as Zackary lifted up Seth the best he could, then flew out of the hall, quickly back to his cottage.
Seth groans softly, the worst gash was probably across his stomach, bleeding heavily. His brows were furrowed in pain.
Zackary beat his wings mightly again and soon they were back at the cottage. Zackary ordered Jace to go upstairs gruffly and sat Seth down on the couch.
Jace scurried upstairs as Zackary kneeled over Seth's stomach wound, a hand lingering over it. "This is gonna hurt, okay?"
Seth didn't move, he was barely breathing, it was shallow and harsh.
Zackary shut his eyes as if willing himself to do something and pressed the palm of his hand into Seth's wound. His hand glowed a dim gold color then the wound started to scab over slowly. It hurt like a bitch for Seth, though.
Seth screamed subconsciously, his body arching as he does so. It was a painful sound, heart breaking, gut wrenching.
Zackary shook his head and squeezed his eyes shut. "Just another minute… He'll be fine in a minute…"
Tears stream down his face, his face contorted in pain. Seth screams again, his fists clenching.
Zackary steadily raised his hand off of the wound, as the scab reached it. "There… okay… none of the other ones are really bad…" He stood up off of Seth, shaking visibly.
Seth groans softly, his body going limp. His breathing seemed to even out a little, but was still shallow.
Zackary came out of the kitchen with a medical kit and worry. He addressed the other wounds carefully, yet his shaking hands messed it up some.
