Xavier was nervous out of his mind, he was good at hiding it though. "You excited?" He asked. He had to start a conversation somehow. Looking over he saw how high they were and his heart sunk. Heights were his thing, but this is the ride Kate would ride on, so he'll push aside his fear.
So he wasn't from around here either? This made her feel better about being new. "I just moved here a few weeks ago, so I wouldn't really know yet." She made eye contact and finally really looked at his face. He seemed like a nice guy, and he was cute.
“Really? Y-You moved here recently too?” Blue’s eyes lit up at something they had in common, “Where did you move from?”
Kate looked up. "Yeah," she smiled and looked down again. Stop smiling, you idiot. She looked outside. As they rose above the park, she could see everything. All the laughing people down below. She sighed. "It's wonderful."
"A small town up in Ohio, really small town," she said with a laugh. Vash was happy that he seemed more comfortable now. And she even felt comfortable too.
(And then there’s Liam lol) Liam looked out the window grumbling

“I’m from Ohio too! I lived in Cleveland,” Blue grinned at Vash, and the ache seemed to dull in his shoulder.
Now Vash's eyes lit up, most people don't think of the small towns in ohio and its usaly hard to explain. "Wow!" She exclaimed happily. "How long did you live In Ohio?" She was trying to keep up the conversation so it wouldn't go back to being awkward.
“I’ve lived there all my life,” Blue beamed, “I was actually born in Columbus though, when my momma and father were on vacation. I came a little unexpectedly early…” Blue trailed off, but then added, “They thought I wouldn’t make it through the night I was so small.”
"Well guess you could say you where lucky," vash smiled and elbowed him a bit. Crap she thought. She had just met this guy and was already treating him like a life long friend "oh, um I'm sorry. I didn't mean too, uh s-sorry" she quickly looked down and placed her hands in her lap.
“What’s wrong?” Blue furrowed his brow (because he didn’t even realize and Blue’s a sweet dork lol), “I mean I lived though the night anyways so it’s not like a bad memory or anything. I am pretty lucky.” Blue smiled at her.

"S..so your new here right?" Vash asked still looking down "how long have you been here then?" She refused to look up in her embaresmint.
“Only a few days,” Blue replied casually, but he knew something was wrong, “Today was my first day at the new school,” Blue wanted to tilt her chin up to see her face better for a second, but as soon as he processed the idea he clamped up. That would be crazy if he did that. They just met, didn’t they?

"I'm glad you like it." Now what? Think Xavier, think. "So, Kate, How long have you lived here?" His eyes wandered to hers. That's the best you could do Xavier?
"The school that was just built?" Vash asked hopeful resisting the urge to look up.

Kate looked into his different colored eyes. Something about them made her smile. "Pretty much my entire life. You?"
“It was just built? I mean it looked really nice and shiny,” Blue went to reach up and tilt her chin, it felt like instinct. But before he moved he felt a small tingling in his hand, and he looked down. Black markings shimmered like a tattoo and Blue whipped his hand behind his back. What was that? It wasn’t a bruise… Blue paled slightly.

Vash looked up a little but kept her eyes down still, "I'm starting up there in a few days" she said with a grin. "Maybe we'll see each other around." She finally looked up fully and made eye contact once again.
“I-I hope we do.” Blue said nervously. If she saw that… Would she think he was a freak? It was Blue’s turn to break eye contact as he shyly looked at the ground, pressing his hand to the ferris wheel’s seat with his back.
"You okay? You look tense." Vash got worried that she had said something wrong that had hurt him.
“I- Well, I- I’m always tense,” Blue said awkwardly, letting his blue hair fall in his face. He felt like he needed to wring his hands, but he didn’t dare move his hand from behind his back. He instead massaged his aching shoulder.
"Same." It's weird that I haven't met here in all these years? He smile and a hand went through his hair. "I find it strange that we haven't met in all these years." The lights from the rides down behind made it look like she was in a painting.
Vash felt bad, like it was her fault he was tense now. She rolled her sleeves up a bit reveling the head of her snake tattoo a little. "Isn't it nice up here?" She asked in hopes of saving the friendship that was forming.
“Um, yeah,” Blue said, looking out into the sky. The sweet smell of flower wafted all the way up here. Blue stole a glance at Vash, then saw that she had a tattoo on her arm. Blue didn’t want to kept on the topic of arms, considering his predicament, but he felt the need to comment, “That’s -uh- really cool.”
"My tattoo?" Vash asked confused "thanks…" She put her arm down so it was hidden.

"Yeah, that is strange." As they climbed up, the wind blew a little more. "Oh," she said with sudden realization, "I never got to thank you for lending me your jacket. I-" just as they reached the top, there was a strange rumbling sound coming from the wheel, a loud clank and the ride jolted to a stop. Ferris wheels stop at the top, no need to worry. She decided to look down at the park below. the attendants were scrambling with the machine. The one ride I trusted. Kate sack back down and leaned back in her seat. "Great." She closed her eyes and told herself to breathe. her chest screamed as every possibility ran through her head, what could break, what could fall. Idiot idiot idiot…
When the loud clank happened, Blue couldn’t stop the instinct to grab onto something, so both his hands flew out, gripping the sides of the cart with white knuckles. His feet planted themselves into the corners of the small box, not leaving much space for Vash. He looked at her with wide eyes, “I-“
Xavier saw how worried she looked. Wrapping his arm around her he cover her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder. "It's fine." He said in a shooting voice. "What's your favorite thing to do around here?" Xavier tried to distract her from what was going on.
