"No, not anymore. I've done it before and trust me, it was worse. You can't exactly throw up your bloodstream, can you?"
Zoe winced. "we'll figure out something."

Zoe winced. "we'll figure out something."
"Whaddya mean, we'll figure out something? They're everywhere, Zoe. There's no getting them out at this point. Heck, they've bore holes in some of my bones!" He took a deep breath. "Do you think I'm disgusting? I wouldn't have done it, but I would have starved…" He trailed off.
Houston gulped. He considered just leaving the ship, but how could he? Taking a deep breath, he unlocked the closet, let himself out and opened the door, not meeting Cicada's gaze.
"Good," Cicada sighed as she said, "For your actions yesterday you are to not speak to anyone other than me or River, or we are all gathered for a meal. We will be given you tasks to do on the ship, we will only speak to you when giving you these tasks. You are not to leave the ship. Have I made myself clear?"

"No, we'll figure out something, nothing is impossible, there has to be something." She countered.
"Zoe…I don't think so. Perhaps a crystal immersion for a few days? No, the bugs are internal. But Zoe, you didn't answer my question. Do you think I'm disgusting? Do you not love me any-" Josiah stopped himself, almost wishing the bugs would eat him right then and there.
"There is always a way ok and I don't think of you any less. We are going to find something ok." She said in a firm voice
Josiah looked up at Zoe's firm face.
"Alright. I'd be glad to be rid of these pests. But it's going to be tough, I'm warning you."
"Watch me."
"I'm always watching you. God, that sounded creepy. Well - you know what I mean. I will be." Josie smiled. "Now, how's about some food?"
"I'm always watching you. God, that sounded creepy. Well - you know what I mean. I will be." Josie smiled. "Now, how's about some food?"
"uh, I brought you breakfast." She gestured to the plate on the side. "So um should I leave now?"
"If you must. I mean, you can, but you're welcome to stay." It wasn't like Josiah to fumble up his words - it was the strange effect that came whenever Zoe was around. He wrestled his shirt back on. "I can't thank you enough for all your understanding. Most people want to cremate me on the spot when they find out it's bugs inside of me."

Silence for a few seconds. "Yes, Captain. I'm really sorry. I think you do hate me now, don't you? Can I still play my viola?"
"I'm, disappointed in you nothing more. Play your viola in your room. Not a cannon," Cicada spun on her heel and walked out of the cabin.
Houston watched her go sadly, then shut the door and did exactly as she said: Played symphony after symphony, hours and hours of classicals, wasting the night away exactly how he felt.
River heard the music and felt bad. no, he deserves it! she yelled to her sefl
Still, the music continued. Houston practiced until his fingers formed blisters - then they bled, but Houston wouldn't stop. His neck and arms were strained to the point of utter exhaustion, but he kept playing past midnight.
(But its not night?)

Zoe shrugged. "I have to see whats up on deck anyway…so see you later I guess." She gave him a small wave before going through the trapdoor and back on deck and went to find Cicadia.
