“But I was gone a whole week,” Edwin pointed out just as the carriage came to a stop. People were out there, looking at the royal carriage, unsuspecting that the lost prince was inside.

"Well, assassins are rather hard to find, hmm?" Savannah carefully stepped out of the carriage, not putting much weight on her injured leg.
Riverpaw peeked from behind Savannah at the groups of people gathered outside the carriage. She whimpered and took a step back, afraid of so many humans so close.
(I honestly don't know what to do with Damian.)
Edwin held out a hand to her (Riverpaw), “I have no idea how I’m going to explain you though.” Edwin glanced at his betrothed, “Do you have any kind of story the weave together?”
(I honestly don't know what to do with Damian.)
(Maybe he could came to the castle later? Idk)
"A lost wolf pup that we decided to take in because its mother was nowhere to be found." She said simply.
“Okay,” Edwin sighed. He needed to go to the castle, nothing would delay that. The carriage door opened, and we couldn’t help but lean away from the sight of the crowd. He looked at Savannahand asked shyly, “Can you go first?”
"Of course." Savannah stepped gingerly out of the carriage, careful not to put too much weight on her injured leg.
Edwin took a deep breath, embarrassed by his nervousness, and stepped out of the carriage. The crowds seemed to turn to whispers and murmurs between themselves, but Edwin held his head high. He gripped his bow tightly and stood beside Savannah, “I suppose we should get going.”
Riverpaw kept close to Edwin's feet, trying not to be seen while also trying not to trip him.
Savannah nodded, entwining her fingers with Edwin’s and giving her a reassuring smile as she made her way towards the castle. She hid her limp as best she could, biting her lip as pain shot up it.
(Is it too late to join?)
Once Edwin made it into the castle, he sighed and let his shoulders slouch. Servants bustled over, making a fuss over him. Edwin didn’t listen to them, just letting them look him over.
Riverpaw yipped at the sudden appearance of more people, quickly backing up and pressing herself against a wall. Nope, nope, this was a bad idea. M-maybe I should've stayed with Damian.
(IS IT TOO LATE TO JOIN??)
(Nah feel free to hop in)
"Relax, relax… he's fine." Savannah held her hands up for the servants to cease, which they did. "Prince Edwin and I will now be making preparations for the wedding tomorrow. Come, darling." She walked off.
(What if I was a lady-in-waiting who is secretly a spy for the assassin)
Damian was working on his garden to keep his mind off of everything. After that he moved on to cleaning his yard, then sharpening it tools and weapons. It was quiet, all he heard were the chirps of birds and the water of the river. It was nice to hear this, but it didn't sound the same without, Edwin coming to bother him about something.
(Aw, my poor Damian misses his friend.)
(Sure and rip Damien CAN I GET A RIP IN THE CHAT)
(Elisabeth Osborne, lady-in-waiting to the princess and spy to the assassin (if there actually is one))
(RIP Damian)
Edwin jaw dropped, “Savannah?” The wedding was tomorrow? I’m not ready, I’m not ready, I’m not ready. Edwin just wanted to be back in the woods with Damian. He couldn’t get married tomorrow. It was too soon.
(Edwin misses Damian too XD )
Elisabeth hurried through the castle, trying to catch up to the princess.
"Yes, Edwin?" Savannah glanced back at Edwin, stopping in her tracks. "What's wrong?"
“Tomorrow?” Why, why, why? Edwin should have stayed hiding at Damian’s house. He shoudln’t have come back. Too much, too fast.
"Yes, tomorrow." Savannah continued walking. "I told you a week ago that the wedding was 'next week'. It has now been a week. Therefore, the wedding is tomorrow. Simple enough, hmm?"
Edwin stopped, “Savannah, I can’t-“ Edwin chewed his lip, “I’m not ready.” He couldn’t do this, it was too overwhelming. Marriage? Too big of a feat to take on.
Damian knew the wedding was tomorrow, maybe he should go? Edwin didn't invite him, but would the guards let him through the gates. Damian walked inside to find his best clothes, which was just a pair of tan pants and a black tshirt. "It will have to do." He them moved to the bathroom and cut his hair so he would look a bit nicer, and honestly he though he did a good job. He didn't look like a hobo, no, he looked like someone that could possibly pass as a friend of the kings. His light blue eyes were more visible, he couldn't do much about his dark skin but that was okay.
