There is a part of the FBI that handles murders but they do a ton of stuff. The CIA, you can think of them as America's spies. They have secrets and powers but they keep the country safe, they're the first to know when Russia is going to take over the country or when September 11th rocks NY like a hurricane.

But there is White Collar crime (Boring as hell) and Major Crime (Gangs and murders) and Cyber Crimes (NO TO THE COMPUTER THING) all kinds of different fields and teams.

White Collar crime is sometimes stollen things from museums or something but that's rare, mostly it's company embezzlement (It's business crime)
