Vin reached across the table and took Vien's hand. "Calm down. Ruby barks like that all the time."
Vin reached across the table and took Vien's hand. "Calm down. Ruby barks like that all the time."
"I…I know," Vien murmured. "I'm sorry, I react badly to loud noises in the morning. I'm fine, really," he assured him before looking down at Ruby
Vin nodded and gave the other's hand a squeeze before pulling away to continue eating. Ruby barked softly and licked Vien's hand.
Vien smiled down at Ruby, scratching her behind the ear before taking a bite of his food. His movements were slightly shaky, but he was doing his best
Vin stood up and walked over to Vien, looking concerned. "Are you sure you're okay?" He pushed Ruby away and put a hand on the other's shoulder.
Vien nodded. "Yes, love, I'm okay, Just a little shaky, there's no need to worry," he assured him with a small smile
Vin hugged Vien and kissed his cheek.
Vien smiled warmly at the kiss. He did his best to hug him back since he was still holding his fork
Vin held Vien for a few more moments before sitting back down. "Good."
Vien smiled a bit before returning to his food. He finished his first helping before getting up to get more
Vin finished his food soon after Vien sat back down and was working on draining his cup of coffee.
Vien got himself more food before sitting down. He was grateful that he had made so much food earlier
Vin finished his cup of coffee and set it down. "That was fantastic. Thanks."
"You're welcome," Vien said, smiling as he dug into his biscuits and gravy
Vin stood with his dishes and put them in the sink. He stared down into the sink before deciding to do the dishes.
Vien looked over at him. "What are you doing?" he asked around a mouthful of bacon
"Dishes?" Vin looked at Vien with a smile.
"I've got a spell for that. You don't have to if you don't want to," Vien chuckled
"Nah, I'll do it." He looked back down at the dishes.
"If you insist," Vien said with a small smile
Vin smiled a little wider as he dried off a plate.
"Hey, where's Baal?" He asked after a while.
Vien shrugged. "Probably asleep somewhere." Sure enough, at the mention of him Baal poked his head tiredly out from where he was curled on top of the fridge
Vin looked over and jumped. "Jeez, how the heck did you get up there?"
Baal yawned for a long moment before looking down at him. He tittered something, which could be vaguely translated as "A way."
Vin shook his head and dried his hands off. "How the hell aren't you stuck somewhere?" He looked up at the dragon.
"He's a spirit, he can get wherever he wants to go," Vien chuckled around a mouthful of bacon. Baal yawned in agreement
Vin shook his head, totally at a loss. "That's…"
"He can walk through walls, it's not like he can't get on top of the fridge," Vien chuckled
"That's so… weird. How the hell…" He cast a confused look at the dragon.
"He's a spirit. You know, like a ghost," Vien said, a little confused as to why Vin was confused
