Today It was the first day of school for this year. and sure new faces would be there but maybe also some old ones too. Mostly everyone was either tense or excited to start

Ash just leaned against a locker as he watched first year people search for their classes looking lost, even though class wouldn't start for another hour.

Power/magic ability: Elemental Manipulation- When she’s surrounded by an element, she can manipulate it to a certain extent. If used for too long, her vision starts to blur and she can go blind for up to 30 minutes. Her power will only work in proportion to the amount of the element around her.
Role: Student
Other stuff: When she was young, Ejiri’s house caught fire. She breathed in so much smoke that it damaged her vocal chords and throat badly. She recovered enough to eat normally, but can no longer speak. To communicate, Ejiri will either use ASL, JSL, her phone, or a notepad in emergencies. She always carries her phone around. She also will carry a notepad and a pencil for emergencies.

Ejiri arrived and walked into the school. She sighed as she walked into the school. A new school, new people, new bullies, new classes, just school in general. She wasn’t looking forward to the school year.

Ejiri looked from her schedule to the lockers in the hallway as she walked, looking for her locker. She found her locker, but someone was leaning against it, ‘Great, not even thirty minutes in and I already probably have a bully,’ Ejiri grabbed her phone and quickly typed, Hey, that’s my locker, could you please move? Ejiri showed the boy her message and waited.

Max leaned against his locker and looked around then decided to look at his phone to pass time.

Ejiri nodded, no emotion really showing. She was a bit surprised. She had expected a bully and instead he was fairly kind. Ejiri did what she needed with locker and looked at her schedule. She had no idea where that class was, all she hadn’t seen it in her way to her locker. Ejiri reluctantly took her phone out and typed, Do you know where Algebra 1 is?

Ejiri nodded in understanding and thanks. She looked at the time, she had five minutes to get to class. Since it was fairly close, Ejiri walked to class, watching as others frantically ran around, trying to get to their class early.

As Ejiri was walking to her class, she accidentally ran into someone. The girl was tall, had tan skin, light blond hair that almost seemed white, and pointed ears. Ejiri assumes she was an elf. Ejiri quickly typed Sorry on her phone and showed it to the girl before she started walking away. A tan arm slammed in front of Ejiri. The arm seemed to belong to another tall blonde elf.

“I didn’t hear an apology when you ran into me,” the first elf chided. She leaned against a wall and examined her fingernails, “so go on, say you’re sorry.”

Ejiri felt her ears growing warm. She typed, I told you sorry before, deal with it and let me get to class.

A third elf with red hair clicked her tongue, “Didn’t you hear Aerith? Apologize.”

Ejiri saw the smiles on their faces, they were fully aware of what they were doing. Ejiri sighed and shook her head, she wasn’t ready to deal with this. She calmly started walking away from the group, feeling a sharp pain after seeing a blur.

The elf who was leaning on the lockers, who Ejiri assumed was Aerith, was now in front of her. Aerith glared at Ejiri, “When I say apologize, you don’t walk away,” she hissed, “you apologize to me.”

Ejiri glared at Aerith and started walking away again. This time, the whole group came after Ejiri, the punches at her, kicked her, and shoved her down when she tried to get up. Ejiri tried fighting back, but the elves were overwhelming her. Ejiri still fought back, and even though she could use her power, she didn’t. Ejiri wanted to keep hers a secret for as long as possible, so she would endure the pain.
