I don't think you're a bully. And the fact that you want to be nice and not a bully shows a lot about you. You're young, you're still learning. And absolutely no offense is intended by this next part, but you're young and still learning how to interact socially. There's nothing wrong with that! As you grow up, you will become more sociable and better at interacting and you will grow out of the habit of being thoughtless (because honestly, I think anytime someone interprets your words as being rude, you probably just weren't thinking (It happens to all of us!!) and you didn't mean it) and you will actually develop the habit of kindness.
Also… there's a diff between being nice and being kind. Niceness is being polite and inoffensive. Kindness is saying what needs to be said, even if it's not necessarily nice.
