@Fraust

Pit restrained himself from just swinging off the bed, choosing to do what the Doctor said and to sit up slowly. He held one hand against the bed for support as he stood up, color soon draining from his face. Whatever… you have to push through it if you're ever going to get better.

Deleted user

"Whoa, take it slowly. Let me help you." Susan said, helping to support Pit and stand him up.

@Fraust

This is so frustrating! I'm just so… useless! Pit looked up at Susan as she supported him, his eyes showing all the pent up frustration with himself that he was refraining from expressing. Just keep calm… it's stupid to think you'd be fine right away anyways.

The Doctor rushed over with a pair of crutches, handing them to Pit. Susan was still by his side, making sure that if Pit fell she would be there to catch him.

@Fraust

Pit slowly took the crutches, examining them with a confused expression. "What… what are these? What do they do?"

Deleted user

"Here, like so." the Doctor said, taking them and showing Pit how they worked, then handing them back to Pit.

@Fraust

I have to use these to walk? That's ridiculous! There's no way I could do that… really wishing I could fly right now. Pit reluctantly accepted the crutches again, but sat down on the bed rather than trying to use them. If he was going to learn how to use them, he'd do it on his own time unless specifically instructed to do so right now. Given the option, he'd really rather not fail and fall over in front of all of them.

Deleted user

"Come on Pit, you've got to keep trying." Susan urged. "You can't give up now!"

@Fraust

"I-I know, I'm just… I don't know…" Pit looked at the crutches, hating that he needed them at all. I'm afraid of failure, aren't I? Why is it that this is always a problem…?

Deleted user

"Listen, you've got to try. It's better to try and fail than give up before even trying at all and never succeeding." the Doctor told Lucas.

@Fraust

Pit hesitated before getting back on his feet, leaning on the crutches. His face paled again as he attempted to move, gripping the crutches tightly when he almost fell over. This is hopeless… His heart was pounding and he stopped again, not wanting to carry on for fear of collapsing.

Deleted user

"Sit down, take a break. You should rest a bit more, that's it." Susan said, lowering Pit back down onto the bed and getting him a glass of water.

@Fraust

I thought the Doctor wanted me to do this, though? Pit allowed Susan to move him and accepted the water gratefully, a bit a color returning to his face when he drank it. I'll have to practice more on my own time…

Deleted user

"You just sit there and take all the time you need. It's been a rough day." Susan said.

@Fraust

"Yes, ma'am.." Pit answered as he gently set the cup down on the bedside table. He leaned the crutches against the wall, his eyes lingering upon them with distaste before he pulled his gaze away. "What happens now?" Lucas asked, looking up at Susan and the Doctor.

Deleted user

"Well, I don't think we'll be doing much in the way of adventures for now, Pit still hasn't healed up fully yet. I can park the TARDIS on an asteroid somewhere, and hopefully nothing bad will happen to anywhere while we're gone, but that's off topic." the Doctor said.

@Fraust

"Are you able to keep an eye on certain places while you're away?" Lucas, despite the fact that his father probably still hadn't noticed absence, was wondering how the man was doing. Had they found Claus? Did any of the neighbors know he was gone? If so, they probably just assumed he had gone looking for Claus as well.

Deleted user

"No, I can't monitor everything all the time, but if the universe is in danger I'll know." he said.

@Fraust

"Alright…" So I highly doubt he's got any idea what's happening back in Tazmily… oh, well. I doubt anyone has really noticed my absence, or cared if they did. "Do you know which asteroid we're heading towards? Any one in particular?"

Deleted user

"Just a random asteroid that's not incredibly close to any particular civilization as to not attract attention." he said.

@Fraust

"How do you know it won't… you know, crash into a planet or something? Asteroids have been known to do that from time to time."

@Fraust

Lucas still wasn't completely convinced that this was safe, but he decided against pushing it further. Arguing would get him nowhere at this point.

Deleted user

"How do you feel? Is there anywhere in particular where it feels sore, do you have a headache, any unusual symptoms?" Susan asked Pit.

@Fraust

Lots of questions… okay, answers… "I feel alright, my head and side hurt, yes, and not that I know of."

Deleted user

"Erm, right, I actually have something for that…. if I can find it, of course…" the Doctor said, searching through cabinets.

Deleted user

"Something to stop the pain, or at least dull it for now." the Doctor muttered.
