"I know how you feel. Just…" Evie covered her mouth with her hand and made a choking noise. Her eyes were filled with tears.

(Oh it's fine.)

Cicada looked up at her. One eye had started to fade to green, "Help."

Evie paced forward until she was within an arm's length. "I'm here."

Katy reached out for Evie. She hated feeling weak. She hated being incapacitated. Cicada despised when this happened.

Evie didn't hesitate. She took Cicada's hand.

Cicada started to calm down. The medication kicked in and scared little Katy went back to hide away.

Evie smiled, trying not to cry. "It's okay."

Cicada's body relaxed and she said quietly, "Thank you Evie. I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize," Evie replied. She was on the brink of tears, about to fall.

"No, I'm sorry for making you cry," Cicada said sadly. She opened her arms to offer a hug to Evie.

Evie accepted the hug, stepping into Cicada's open arms.

Cicada smiled as she held Evie close. They both needed this.

(Evie is shy, straight, and single.)

Evie cried softly, quietly, into Cicada's shoulder.

Cicda rubbed small circles on her back.
