Zackary looked away from him, the heat from his ears migrating to his face quickly. It's literally all I've been thinking about… but I can't tell him that.
"Y…yeah." I don't want to deter him either. God, I forgot how complicated relationships can be.
Seth slowly stands and walks towards Zackary. He lifts a trembling hand to touch the others face. He leans forward, gently placing his lips against the other.
Zackary kissed back briefly then remembered his son's existence and pulled away. "Later… Seth…" He grinned a little and nodded. "Later."
He huffs, and nods, smiling a little. He hums softly, glancing at the other and blushing softly.
Zackary grinned a little bashfully and glanced away, feeling giddy and childlike.
Seth clears his throat, walking towards the kitchen to tidy up a little bit.
Zackary relaxed into his hand and Jace giggled faintly. "You're in looove."
Seth begins cleaning, humming softly as he washes the dishes.
"Jace…"
"Yes daddy?"
"Eat."
Seth chuckles softly at the conversation, carefully hand drying the dishes and putting them away.
Zackary half-closed his eyes again as Jace continued eating like a good boi.
Seth gives a soft sigh before returning back to the living room, holding an ice pack. "For your eye." he says, handing the other the ice pack. "I'm gonna need to check your wounds in a little while." he says softly so Jace won't hear. He didn't want the wounds to get infected, but he also didn't want Jace to know his dad was hurt that badly.
Zackary nodded and pressed the pack to his eye. Jace finished his food just then and went to go put them in the sink.
Seth chuckles softly, watching Jace with a light smile on his lips. He sighs softly, looking up at the ceiling.
Zackary yawned and Jace nubbed into the other room to watch some TV. Zackary soon rose and followed his son, to make sure he didn't get into trouble or hurt himself.
Seth stayed on the couch, his eyes searching the ceiling. He had to be dreaming… He was a demon… and he fell in love. It wasn't lust, no… It was love… Pure and unfaltering love.
Zackary sat down on the plush armchair, apparently deep in his own thoughts. Jace plopped down on top of his father with the remote to the TV.
Seth sighs softly, shutting his eyes. He had broken so many rules. He would never be allowed back into hell now. But did that matter? He fell in love… and his feelings were accepted.
Zackary hugged his son, feeling disconnected with everything else. Why… am I letting someone else into my life? What if they ruin it again? No. I can't think like this. Seth seems like he loves me, and I… do to… He laughed a little to himself.
He stands, humming softly as he stretches. The back of his shoulders seemed to stick out more than they should have. He winces slightly, feeling the slight humps on his back before walking towards the other room where the others were. He smiles, leaning against the door frame.
Zackary looked over at Seth as he appeared and grinned a little.
Seth smiles before joining them and hums softly, walking towards the others and sitting at Zackary's feet, leaning his head back and shutting his eyes.
Zackary's grin faded gently and he looked at Jace, who smiled a little at his father. At least Seth is nice to Jace.
Seth began to worry. His father… he'd bring shame to his father… but then he flinched, remembering that terrible night. He forces his mothers screaming out of his head. He takes a steadying breath. It's just a memory…
Jace looked down at Seth and hopped off of Zackary's lap and onto Seth's.
"You look worried." He said simply, gazing up at him. "You are worried, aren't you?"
"I-It's not that…" he whispers, trying to get rid of the screaming. His brows furrow in pain. He sighs and holds Jace gently.
Jace made a soothing noise in his throat and whispered to Seth, "That's really scary. Is that your mommy?" His face fell a little. "She sounds much more afraid and less angry than my mommy."
He starts. "You… you can hear her?" He asks softly, staring at the little boy in his arms.
Jace nodded, his eyes wide. "She sounds like she's hurt."
"She was…" he says softly. "My father…" he mutters, not able to get any other words out. His heart thuds in his chest.
