"Hell yeah. I'm going to either buy rainbow swim shorts or I'm going to buy patches and like, sew them on," Erikos said, grinning as he spoke. "And maybe we could get matching shirts, too. Ones that say 'I'm with gay' or something."
"Hell yeah. I'm going to either buy rainbow swim shorts or I'm going to buy patches and like, sew them on," Erikos said, grinning as he spoke. "And maybe we could get matching shirts, too. Ones that say 'I'm with gay' or something."
Daus laughed loudly, drawing a few glances from the younger people sitting around them. "Maybe some that say 'I'm not gay. My boyfriend is,'" he added, humming in thought as he tried to recall some of shirts that his friend Baz had shown him one day.
Erikos laughed even more at that. "Oh hell yeah, we've gotta find shirts like that. And we gotta get you one that says 'I'm not pan, my boyfriend is' or something."
"Perfect," Daus nodded, laughing a bit more as one of the waitresses seemed to wander over towards them. She gave them a bit of a strange look, though it was replaced with a bright smile the moment that she arrived at their table.
The waitress simply handed them menus, and Erikos took one before handing one to Daus. "Alright, taco time," he hummed before looking through his menu
"What should we get?" Daus asked, glancing up towards Erikos as the other seemed to be looking through the menu. He honestly had no clue what they should be getting, and his eyesight in human form had always been poor, so the small font on the menu honestly didn't help.
"Well, there's tacos, of course. They make good pizza too, and macaroni and cheese," Erikos said, beginning to list off some of the things he liked to eat at that restaurant
"Should we get some tacos? Those look pretty good," Daus hummed, looking down at the menu for a few moments as he read over some of the descriptions.
"Sure. They're cheap and tasty, especially the crab and lobster ones," Erikos said. "Not as good as Vien's cooking, though. Those are the best."
"Vien's cooking automatically outranks every other restaurant," Daus chuckled, glancing down towards those tacos as he nodded his head. "Yeah, those look good," he agreed, setting his menu back down onto the table.
"Alright, cool. Drinks?" Erikos asked as he skimmed through the menu. "There's milkshakes and tea and stuff. I think there's smoothies, too."
"I'll take whatever you say is the best here," Daus replied, as his gaze skimmed across the menu for a few moments.
"The milkshakes are the best. I like the chocolate ones, but there's all sorts of flavors. Green tea, cheesecake, cherry," Erikos said, listing off a few that he could think of
"Ooh, chocolate," Daus answered, a small smile crossing his face as he heard Erikos list off that flavor. He had always really liked chocolate, so he always tried to get some whenever he was in towns or cities.
"Yep. How about we get one of the jumbo shakes to share? They're pretty damn big, cheap, and we can do that thing where a couple has two straws and they share a milkshake or something," Erikos suggested
"Sure, then we can be like those movie couples," Daus added, laughing a bit at the thought of having two straws in one milkshake. He had only really seen those in movies anyway, so he had usually doubted that restaurants actually sold them.
"Well, if you've figured out what you want we can order," Erikos said, smiling at Daus' reaction. He thought it was adorable when he laughed, and he wanted to make sure he was happy
"I suppose I'll have one of the famous lobster tacos," Daus answered, running a hand through his hair as he tucked a few curls behind his ears. It was getting long enough to the point where he began to think that he probably needed to cut it soon.
"Alright, I'll get the crab ones, and then we can get the jumbo milkshake," Erikos said. One of the waiters walked over, and he told them their order before handing them his menu
Daus nodded, handing the waiter his menu as well before he looked back towards Erikos, twisting the bracelet around his wrist in thought.
Erikos rested his head in the palm of one hand, smiling as he looked over at Daus. "You're really, really hot, you know that?" he said, his smile widening as he spoke
"I thought I was the cute one. You're the hot one," Daus protested, a small, joking frown crossing his face as he looked up towards Erikos. Though, his cheeks flushed a tad from the compliment even though he attempted to prevent that from happening.
"Yeah, but you're also hot. You're cot. Cute-hot. Hute?" Erikos managed before breaking into a small fit of laughter. He grinned over at Daus, still laughing a bit as he did so
"Hute," Daus repeated as a small fit of giggles escaped him, his face turning a bit red from how he must have sounded like a dork from that. "Sorry, that laugh was so dorky," he mumbled, covering his face with the sleeves of his sweater before he looked back up towards Erikos.
"No, no, it was adorable. Adorkable," Erikos said before beginning to laugh again. "Oh god, I can't English right anymore," he laughed as he let his head fall forward onto the table
Daus tried to stifle a laugh, but as soon as Erikos began to, he started to laugh loudly as well. Somehow, Erikos just made the smallest words or things hilarious. "God, they're going to kick us out if we keep laughing," he mumbled in between laughs.
"They can try to kick our gay asses out. Our…our gasses," Erikos wheezed before laughing so hard he started clutching at his sides. He shook his head, trying and failing to calm himself
Daus tried to answer, but instead started to laugh once again, burying his face in the palms of his hands in order to calm himself down. "Oh, gods…I swear…everyone must be…looking at us," he said in between laughs, using shorter breaths in order to get the words out.
Erikos couldn't even form words yet, he was still cackling madly as he clutched at his sides. It wasn't even that funny, but he just couldn't seem to keep from laughing
"Why…are we…even laughing," Daus said in between small fits of laughter, his face beginning to hurt from smiling for so long. Though, it felt good to just be happy for some time, even if it was just laughing uncontrollably at a table with Erikos.
