Mariko dug herself deeper into her seat, imagining what life would be like after she accomplished her goals. She wouldn't have a purpose. I suppose I'll just die after I kill those scientists.

Phoebe glanced shiftily at the girl. “Do you guys not feel that buzzing around her?!”

Marco shrugs, "nothing."

Micah shook his head. "How are you supposed to feel buzzing?"

Phoebe furrowed her brow, her blue eyes lit with confusion, standing out against her dark tanned skin.

“I-it’s like the air is trembling. Slowly vibrating.”

"I think all of this tension is finally getting to you." Micah responded, grinning.

Phoebe shook her head, frustrated. “No, I swear.” She clenched her fists, looking back at the girl again.

"Should we…talk to her?" Micah asked. "At least get her name or something?"

Mariko glanced at the time, five minutes. They had to jump soon. "Guys? We have to get on the roof."

Micah sighed, crossing his fingers again. He really hoped that the girl wouldn't say anything. Maybe if he seemed polite. He smiled at her before standing up. "Lead the way Mariko."

Mariko got up and started out of the hatch, "C'mon."

Micah followed her out of the hatch, gesturing for Phoebe and Marco to follow them.

Mariko got up on the roof and stood up, she looked at Micah, "Do you still need to hold my hand?"

Micah shook his head, embarrassed. "I…I think I'm fine." He really wasn't though; he was terrified.

"Don't die, then." Mariko jumped.

"Wait, just like that?!" Micah called after her. "Oh no…no no no…" He took a deep breath and shook his head. "I can't believe I'm doing this…" In one not so smooth motion, he jumped off.
