"Okay," Darren let out a long breath and from there on out, his breathing was slow and even.

She was starting to shake. "I'm sorry, I know it's childish." She mumbled. This was ridiculous. An 18-year-old scared of the dark? It just sounded laughable, probably funnier in person.

"It's not dark see?" everywhere he looked, a blue light from his eyes filled the room, it kinda hurt to do this but he didn't mind if it was for her.

Lillian was smiling as Darren fell asleep. She let out the tears that had slowly been building. That had sounded like a break-up. But she knew it wasn't. He was just, worried. Why couldn't that idiot think for himself for once?
