(Can I join? Can I be the queen?)
(Can I join? Can I be the queen?)
(You can both join, and the brother thing is fine)
(Yay!)
(thanks ^-^)
"I know, but it'll be so long until then… I probably wouldn't be able to anyways, considering I might actually be the queen at that point. You know how mother has been ill and she never fully recovered from the attack on the castle."
Evanna shrugged. "Eh, well. Never too late to step down."
"I just… I don't know, Evanna. It's my duty to the people. I can't just drop all my responsibility on Lennox and run off into the night."
Damian almost choked when he accidentally overheard the two girls conversation. Queen, does that mean that girl is the princess? "Why would the princess be at such a inn?" He whispered to himself.
(Question: can I be a wolf creature? Like, a human that can turn into a wolf?)
(Uh… I guess so? I don't see why not)
"I just… I don't know, Evanna. It's my duty to the people. I can't just drop all my responsibility on Lennox and run off into the night."
Evanna drained her beer. "That may be, but you'll only have to hold up till your brother is of age. But who knows, maybe you'll do some good for this country." She said.
"Possibly… that's why I need to try and have a bit of fun now and get to know the people before settling down. I know I would regret it if I constantly lived a prim and proper life, at least before I need to. I'm sure father would have agreed."
Evanna nodded grimly. "Of course he would. So, are you done with your breakfast?" She asked.
"Yes, Evanna. Are you planning on taking me somewhere or something? You seem quite eager to leave the inn."
Evanna shook her head. "An inn is a great place for bad things to happen. But if there's somewhere you'd like to go?"
"Fair enough… I haven't got anywhere in particular in mind, of course, but if there's any way we could be out of the castle longer without worrying mother, that would be lovely."
"Damian, I need you to go out shopping." Silva set a bag of coins in front of him. Not asking but telling him. "Yeah, okay." He hated going out, he was never good with people. "Heres a list." She shoved it in his hand and started to push him across the room and out the door.
"Fair enough… I haven't got anywhere in particular in mind, of course, but if there's any way we could be out of the castle longer without worrying mother, that would be lovely."
"Alright then." As they left the inn, Evanna called out to the man that had waved to them. "Oi, you! Know of any place we can see a nice horse race?"
Damian jumped at the loud voice. "Um, yeah I'm headed in that direction if you want me to take you there?" The princess was much more beautiful up close. He looked away because he felt he would get killed if he looked her directly in the eyes.
Evanna grinned. "Thank you, kind sir, we appreciate it."
"Y-Yeah" He turned around and continued walking. "I might stop a few times to buy some things if you don't mind." As he said that he turned to a stand that was selling apples. "May I have ten apples please?" The man went by him totally ignoring him. Damian cleared his throat and continued. That was embarrassing, especially in front the the princess. He would have to go somewhere else.
(Sorry, I'm babysitting so it may take me a bit to answer.)
(That's fine lol)
Evanna laughed, holding her sides. "Well, I guess I should ask you your name." She twirled her axe by her side, tapping her fingers against the handle.
"Sir?" Savannah said, getting the vendor's attention. "May we please have ten apples?" She slid a few coins across the table and waited, making confident eye contact with the vendor that said she had the authority here. The vendor plucked ten apples from his stash and handed them to Damien.
Evanna frowned playfully at Savannah. "You're no fun." She said, then laughed again. "The heart of gold belongs to the princess!" Her eyes widened. "Shit! I mean, not like she's a princess or anything!" She put her hand on her forehead, cursing herself.
"My names Damian." A bag hung in front of him. "Thank you, but I'm used to this." He took the bag and hooked it to his belt the he invented. "This way," They were close, so close that you could hear the crowds cheering.
"Ooh! A horse race! I love horses." Savannah stood on her tiptoes to try and see the lineup from where she was. "We've got lots of horses back at home. I have my own named Nutmeg."
Guards stopped Damian from entering. "Uh, well I hope you have fun!" Damian wasn't allowed into a lot of places around here. He watched as the princess walked away. This was probably going to be the last time he saw her, well in person at least.
"Goodbye, Damien! It was lovely meeting you!" Savannah gave Damien a small wave before walking into the venue with Evanna.
Riverpaw bounded around a corner in her tiny brown wolf form. She spotted two ladies entering the venue and ran over, hiding below them so she could slip through before the guards could see her.
"Yeah you too!" He gave them a small wave then glared a bit at the guards. "I'm leaving so can you take your hands off of me." They let go. He walked down the street buying this gas on the list but not getting anywhere. Asking the princess to help but his stuff would have been a lot easier then to do this himself.
