I think I've been underworking myself. I'm lazy and I always put things off until the last minute, and it's been making my depression worse than it already is (I've developed an eating disorder, if you must know). Any tips for how to get more motivated and focused?

Drink more water to expand your stomach. If you can, try to eat five small meals a day instead of the standard three large ones. Protein and vegetables come before grains and dairy, so if you can't eat much at least try to eat those. I told you about melatonin, I usually take three miligrams but I'm also on other medication so I recommend taking ten milligrams at seven thirty, any later and you're drowsy as fuck all morning. I hope you can get access to that. I've got more gimme a second
Okay so
Try to take a shower every night or morning whichever one is easier. For five minutes use warm water, then cool, not freezing water for another five minutes. Don't wash your hair everyday you don't want to completely strip your hair of oils. Don't take any baths unless you're sore. In the morning use your favourite perfume/deodorant/candle/ something with a scent. Just smell it for a bit. I got more but my internet is not good rn
Write a to do list every morning. Every time you need a distraction do something off that list. Or do it all, than relax. Clean/organize at least thirty minutes a day. Even if nothing needs cleaned or organized, rearrange something. Listen to music, blast it as loud as you can and scream along, or just play relaxing music and read a book anytime you feel stressed. No earbuds. The music must be surrounding you. Go outside at least once a week and take a picture of everything that interests you. https://pin.it/zbo6jq55a62ikn

My newest tactic is just ignoring the depression. Like obviously I can't ignore the moments (sometimes hours) where my brain is on shutdown and I can't stomach talking to anyone or seeing anyone and intrusive thoughts want me to kill myself…. sorry tmi.
But like…. if my depression isn't debilitating at the moment, I just have to ignore it. I have to suck it up and do some work. Even if it's literally just 5 minutes and then I go watch 10 minutes of youtube.
I also use the Pomodoro technique, where you work for 25 minutes, then get a 5 min break, and every 4 work sessions you give yourself a longer break.
Just…. little increments that work up to it.
And also: figure out what helps you be less depressed. One of my things is laundry day lol. I just love doing laundry. And like…. general cleaning/organizing/decluttering.
You can try journaling too, it helps me, but I don't know how to explain it lol.
Also I have this one youtuber, Rowena Tsai, and she has some good vids for when you're in a funk and can't get out. For example…. sometimes it's okay to just veg out and watch your favorite shows. But you can't do that for forever and expect it all to resolve itself. Let yourself veg out for a few days and if it doesn't help, then you start being more proactive. But sometimes you just need a break

I went through depression when I was 12 and didn't talk to anyone about it until it was almost too late. SO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS
And yes please do maintain physical health as much as possible. And exercising releases endorphins, which are happy hormones
