I opened the back door to let the dog out and there was a beep and then 'back door opened'
Also the dog is trained to ring a bell hung on the door when he wants out

I read so many of those a few years ago

a fire just broke out near my home
like a mile away
and I couldn't get too close, obviously, but like…..
I think it's either on the freeway or around it
and it's so hot
and smoky
I rode my bike home from babysitting with a hand over my mouth so I didn't inhale too much smoke

and it's recent enough (since like…. noon) that there's not even news stories on it yet

Like I'm said, I'm not entirely sure where the source is
But when I was turning off the street where I was babysitting, it looked like it was right ahead of me
and then a few turns later, next to the freeway entrance, it looked like it was on the freeway
so I have a rough idea of where it is
it's prob the dry grasses and stuff in the spaces between roads and stuff
and there's a lot of buildings/concrete in between me and it
so hopefully I'm fine
