(Right.) "Oh, I just ask people things like that. I don't think it would be wise for you to travel with us." he frowned.

@Fraust

Of course… what would they need someone like me for, anyways? Lucas nodded. "Alright… well, I hope you guys stay safe, then." He gripped his flashlight tighter and started walking away.

"Honestly, any other day I would, I really would, but it's just…. well, one trip wouldn't hurt, if you still want to come?" he called out.

Deleted user

"Just one trip and then back home, understand?" he asked. Susan sighed. "Doctor, you can't bring a child into this!" she exclaimed.

@Fraust

I don't want to be a burden, but if it gets me away from the island… Lucas glanced back at his house, which he could see from the hill. His ignorant father was probably still asleep and wouldn't even notice he was gone in the morning. And if these people could really travel through time, they could always bring him back at this same moment, right? Everyone would be none the wiser.

"Susan, it's just one trip, there's nothing to worry about. Calm down." the Doctor argued. "Yeah, it always starts with one trip, doesn't it. Next thing you know we've been captured by boggins from space and a piano falls on top of the Eifel Tower." Susan protested. This, in her very sensible opinion, wouldn't end well.

@Fraust

What are boggins? Lucas stayed quiet while they argued, his heart pounding. Would they really let him go? Or would the girl manage to dissuade the Doctor?

"My ship, my choice. Go to the library or something and leave me alone if you don't like it." the Doctor said. "So, what would you like to see?" he asked. "All of time and space, you're free to decide." the Doctor grinned. "By the way, I never caught your name." he said.

@Fraust

"I'm… Lucas. I don't know where I'd want to go, though. What would you recommend?" Lucas was turned back towards them at this point, fidgeting with the flashlight.

"Well, there we this place I was always going to take Donna, it's this beautiful little planet called…." he trailed off. Thinking about Donna was painful. "Well, you might not want to go there. Oh, I know, we could always go and see the Alignment Of Exodor! Seventeen galaxies in perfect unison! How does that sound?" he asked, giddy with excitement.

@Fraust

(Hi sorry had to eat lunch and stuff)
Well, he definitely seems to like this Alignment thing… "Sure, we can go to the Alignment of Exodor. I dunno how long it takes to get there or what's there once we arrive, but you know… details."

Deleted user

"It'll take barely any time at all, don't worry!" he grinned. "Allons-y!" the Doctor pulled a lever and flicked a few switches and they were off. The room jolted and shook around while the TARDIS was in flight, but stopped once they were at their destination. "Don't open the doors just yet, I need to extend the air shell." he said, entering a few commands on the keyboard, which made a pleasant ding every time a key was pressed. "All done, take a look." he said, opening the doors to a magnificent scene before them.

@Fraust

"Wow…" Lucas looked outside in awe. He had never seen anything like this before, so beautiful or mysterious. It was eerie, sure, but breathtaking at the same time.

Deleted user

"Actually, interestingly enough, directly in the center of those galaxies is the only colonized star in the universe. It's really an amazing place, all things considered." he said. One trip was probably enough, but since the star was in The Alignment itself it was technically still one trip.

Deleted user

"Well, it is quite hot, but they have this amazing cooling system that can support life there. It's really quite breathtaking, the star." he said .

@Fraust

How would that even work? You can't put a cooling system on a star! They're not even solid! Lucas looked back over at the galaxies and the star that supposedly sustained life.

@Fraust

"Are we allowed to go there?" Lucas asked quizzically, looking between the Doctor and the star. "Is it even safe?"

Deleted user

"Of course it's safe, people have been living there for centuries! It's a hotspot for tourists, quite literally in some cases."

Deleted user

"As I said! Cooling systems! It's still quite hot though, so sunscreen and a water bottle is recommended." the Doctor said. Susan rushed back into the console room, her face showing quite clearly signs of panic and worry. "Doctor, it's Harry. He's having a sort of fit, he keeps asking for you!" she panted, out of breath from running through long, twisting corridors. "Lucas, I'll have to finish this conversation later. Just stay here with Susan, will you?" he asked, running off. Susan sat down in one of the chairs, massaging her temples. No doubt this kid- Lucas, apparently- was going to ask questions.
