Blake nodded and sank back down where he was sitting outside the room, unwilling to disturb Ace, yet also unwilling to leave. He was alive. He was okay. Blake rested his head against the wall, trying to ease his shallow breathing.

Ace's voice came from the room, "Blake?" it was faint and soft, barely a whisper.
(This while scrne is breaking me)
Blake heard him and quickly bolted into the room. "Ace?" He replied hoarsely, shutting the door with a quiet click and sitting in the chair by Ace's bedside.
(This while scrne is breaking me)
I love breaking things. Like glass, and potatoes, my characters, ooh! And especially other people's hearts! (winks)
"You're real, right?" Ace asked, grabbing Blake's hand.

Oh my
"Course I am, man. You made it." Blake was smiling weakly, afraid to get close to Ace. It was as if the strongest person he knew was now made of thin glass.
"I like making it," Ace murmured, his purple eyes cloudy.
"I like it when you make it too." Blake sniffled. "You must be exhausted."
"Yeah, but, stay?" Ace asked, breaking into a smile.
"You really think I'm leaving at this point?" He grinned, curling up in the chair. "They need to invest in more comfortable chairs here. I'm going to complain to Dani about this." He whined playfully.
"You do that." Ace poked Blake's arm, "I haven't teased you enough about Frankie."
"Last time I saw her was around four A.M. while she was helping me take care of refugees in Dani's apartment. She definitely gave up and left by now." Blake gave Ace a sad smile.
"Nah, the good ones stick around." Ace smiled, "She's a good one. Never really talked to her, but I'm sure I can tease her later."
"Don't you dare scare her off." Blake teased. "She's the first person I've kissed where it actually means something, you know? Not just drunken hazy kissing. Like real kissing."
Ace laughed, "Wow. Real kissing."
"You know what I mean!" Blake hid his face, which displayed a bright, rosy red blush on his cheeks.
"No, I really don't." Ace coughed, "I only know real love."
"You've never kissed someone just for the sake of it?" Blake raised his eyebrows, surprised. "Guess that's just an R.A.C. thing." He sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "Kissing someone you love feels a whole lot better. It's warm." Blake mumbled, a small smile spreading on his face.
"Well.." Ace sighed, "There are kisses you don't really want to think about. Don't go there with me." he laughed, "It's a dark, dark place."
(@Irish, are you here?)
"Fair enough. I could use some happiness." Blake's smile grew sheepish. "Speaking of which, and I know I'll regret this," Blake paused, his face flushing even redder. "Any relationship advice for me? I'll take anything I can get." He shot Ace a shy look.
"Anything?" Ace raised an eyebrow.
(@Hope Blake doesn't have a phone since he was from the R.A.C. And technically isn't a TGR member)
(Ooh alright I should have known that. Just pretend that she's just patiently pacing the room then. I'm getting caught up)
What is strength? They say it's being a man. And yet, strength is in unexpected places. The girl with anxiety who finally decided to throw her trash away in front of all those people. The boy who came to school wearing a dress because, guess what? He wanted to. The mother who kept her face high when her son died in the war and the father that cried because he couldn't keep all his emotions inside of him. Strength is inside the cancer patient who fought her cancer and won and strength is inside the cancer patient who fought his cancer and lost. Sometimes, strength is not never quitting, it's about being brave enough to let go. And that's exactly what Ace did. He stayed strong.
(YOU ARE AMAZING)
"I'm a little desperate, alright man? She kissed me and asked if I was okay and I couldn't even talk! I've gotta impress her! So far the only thing I know she likes is that I can fly." Blake furrowed his eyebrows, deep in thought.
